it was my understanding that it was a split entity as well.

the fires thing was supposedly just added to the film cuz thats the story fo the town where it was filmed (and it seemed like a good enough reason to have a deserted town).

the demon needed someone that was allowed in to act as the trojan horse is what i figured. maybe he's like a vampire and cant come in unless invited.

i'm getting this on dvd when it comes out. extended eddition or seeing it a 2nd time might clear up a few things, but overall it was a fun movie for its genre.

allessa split into 2 little girls. her goodness went into sharon and they dropped her at the orphanage and her evil went into "the demon". sharon was allessas goodness. sharon was alessa.

about the wreck...

she spun out and stopped suddenly banging her head on teh wheel. the little girl may have never lost consciousness.

i love the whiteouts and blackouts in this movie. they leave you thinking "what the fuck is gonna happen next?"


people have said the smoke and ashes marked the crossover from real to non real siletn hill but the detective made the husband wear the breathing mask? i am stumped on when rose crossed into "death" or wahtever it is and how the police went with her?

how does her husband hear and sense her and get phonecalls?

cgi is the special effects done with computers.

the detective had to wear the mask cuz of toxic fumes from the underground fires. the whole other thing with death seems more of a symbolism than actual plot in this movie. it really just is another dimension with minimal contact.

I saw this movie finally and having beat the first game, I thought they did some things really well in it.

The siren when the city changed was fantastic, and the opening bit of the game being recreated was really well done.

If anyone wants to play Silent Hill I have it and will let you borrow it.

i really dont understand why so many people hated this movie. sure it didnt have the best plot or acting, but for god's sake, it is a horror movie!!!!

that said, even if you aren't into video games i thought it had some decent special effects and weird imagery, but i like visual movies (the cell would be my other visual horror example).

I thought getting out of Silent Hill whilst still in "spirit world" was very unusual for a game where everything happens in Silent Hill. they should have found someway to end it in Silent Hill

I saw this in the theatre and the combination of never having played the games and having poor hearing left me with a sense of THIS MOVIE IS A HUGE BAG OF WHAT THE FUCK.

That said, it was decently entertaining and I intend to see it again sometime and hopefully understand what the hell happened.
