I think it's likely they're scientologist, but I don't fully see why/how that would make sense.

Remember though at the end when they were saying "on next week's episode..." and Cartman was looking at the supposed Family Guy writers, there was an odd blue glow on him? And in Scientology, IIRC, one of the things they believe is that people are made of energy?

ya know... seeing as comedy central hasn't pussed out or anything, it brings an odd thought to my mind...

they seem to be trying to use comedy central as a foil, as an "evil boss" who's trying to keep their humor down... while i'm sure that comedy central has NO problem being used in this way, they just make a bad foil, i mean, they air pretty much anything uncensored after 1am, and they're the same network that allowed southpark to say "shit" 160+ times without censoring...

so why bother? Parker and Stone aren't stupid, they know that ultimately Comedy Central won't censor them if they push, so why bother with the jabs?

just seems pointless

^ Yeah, but under pressure from Tom Cruise, they pulled the second airing of the first Scientology episode.

That's what this episode of South Park was about... of all the stuff that they have gotten away with, and that other networks have gotten away with, it was completely idiotic to bend to the scientologists they way they did. They are attempting to point out the absurdity of that one particular situation, and any future situations that mirror it, not paint Comedy Central as an evil boss.
