^I made a WR, got picked by the Ravens in the 3rd. Dunno how I managed to get a 97 speed and 99 acceleration becuase when I did my 40 times the best one was a 5.11.

Whenever McNair actually gets the ball to me and doesn't get intercepted I haven't really had much trouble with dropped passes, just run to the orange circle and press and hold y has been workin for me.

yea im a WR also and i just run the routes for the most part and press LB to call for the ball...so i get thrown to 75% of the time

so as far as Hall of famers do this:
1. make a save of your default rosters
2. anytime you want to start a new franchise just load those rosters to start (or updated rosteres from online on xbl)
3. then youre good

once you start a franchise, hall of famers cant enter your franchise...so basically make sure when you start a franchise that you dont have HOF on your free agent list...

I think the running game may be a tad unrealistic when playing people online.

My last game:

Foster for 243yrds rushing... 2TDs. Williams with 110yrds rushing... 1TD. Jake throwing 6 passes, 4 completions, 1 for a TD to Foster on the flat where he took on 3 guys to break for a TD. Why bother throwing the ball? Play action passes made up 5 of my 6 attempts...

The poor guy I played last game was real cool though. He said "this is fucking rediculous... but I don't expect you to pass if I can't stop the run"

Anyway... my last few games have felt that way regardless of the teams I play... it winds up their RBs vs. my RBs

I can't get below 5.20 on the 40. Maybe it's my guy and his parentage or something. He's a WR though.

When I checked my stats though, I'm superfast..like in the 90's.

Also, you don't actually allocate points or anything for your stats, right? They just naturally increase.

And lastly, what is the point of all the practices. If you play them do they increase your stats? Do you guys usually actually practice?

So how do you get it that fast? How fast do you actually pump the sticks up. Is it more timing or speed? Do you release the stick or pull down? ETC.

If you ever play superstar and find a DNA that says your father was "the Michael Vick of his day," play that guy.

I got a guy who started out as a fairly good rookie QB in the normal QB aspects, 92 throw power, 86 accuracy, 71 awareness, not too bad.

But he has a 95 in speed, a 95 in agility, and a 97 in acceleration! Which I increased by running the 40 a few times (got the silver medal with 4.36 could never get the gold which was 4.3).

Drafted by the chiefs, green got injured in the first regular season game, and I took over. I Simmed a game vs the 49ers and my dude threw for 250 and three TD's and rushed for over 200 with 2 TD's.

But the draft is ridiculous, my dude is better than Vince Young in almost every way, yet vince was drafted 3rd, my dude was drafted 3rd round.

the 40 time is based on your guy, if he is really fast then it will be easier to get high scores. my best time is 4.36, but I have yet to get a gold, my hands aren't that fast.

I am trying to decide between madden 07 and ncaa 07....anyone in this thread that owns either or both have an opinion on which is better?

i got them both...

ncaa is like ncaa always is, college teams, etc. all you can do is play online, dynasty, exhibition, or 3 minigames...

madden - you can play exhibition, franchise, superstar mode (i like this), online, and 5 minigames...

as far as features go, there is more in madden and i think they both look about the same graphically, its just a matter of gameplay. i find them to be similar but madden just has this madden feel and ncaa just feels like ncaa...madden is harder though in terms of the computer AI, etc.

im stuck on if i should keep ncaa or not only because all i play is dynasty on there...we'll see through the next couple weeks which one i end up playing more...

I have both.

go to Circuit City and get both for $80 (tax included).

both games are $37.99 at the Durham CC off of 15-501.

they are completely different games though, NCAA has the momentum meter, which is cool, and you can run the option. I fucking love running the option. Plus you can be NC State in a bomb ass stadium. NCAA is probably more fun if you are playiong with a buddy 1 on 1 at you house.

Madden has more in depth shit like rosters, superstar mode, etc. I think Madden is more fun when playing by yourself or Online. If I had to choose, I would say Madden, simply because the teams this year are so much fun to play with.

The gameplay is much different from 06 though, so it takes some getting used to.

My biggest problem with this game is that it freezes for ~1 second after EVERY play. It never did that in 06. Hard to say right now if its better than 06, but give me time!

I have both and so far they're pretty similar in terms of gameplay.

Madden does have more features(two single player game modes, Superstar and Franchise vs. just dynasty for NCAA). Graphics wise, I give Madden a slight edge. NCAA has better announcers, but Madden has sound otherwise.

I love my NCAA, and the college feel and taking the Wolfpack to the NC is awesome and will never be replaced on my shelf. So far, however, Madden still looks to be the better game.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, running the ball seems overly easy in Madden. Seems like you can get 5 yards every time, even on hard difficulty. And if you use the lead blocker to good effect, even more.

In NCAA, it's the opposite. Running is about right, but passing is a tad on the easy side.

I know on Madden '06, the only way I got picked in the first round was to be an awesome Run For The Heisman player (did it as a CB/WR/RS triple threat, basically made myself a CB that could break tackles).

I went 10th overall to the Cowboys and lost ALL RS skills despite bringing back 15 kicks to the House in my 3-year collegiate career

Is the game way too easy to anyone else? I started playing with the Pro difficulty level (the default) and was up 28-0 halfway through the first quarter, so I quit and bumped it up to All-Pro. I was up 38-3 at halftime using that, so I've gone ahead and bumped it up to All-Madden. With past Maddens it has taken me a while to work my way up to All-Madden, so I feel like I'm going to master the game way too fast now.
