The point was that I needed to make a law to make Rush's premarital sex immoral. Kohlbergs fifth stage of morality in no way supports that, nor does it say that laws dictate morality.

Something can be reflective of a morality without being "immoral." Morality isn't just about "wrong." By your logic, Christianity doesn't have any standards of morality because you would need to add to it in order to make eating biscuits immoral. In fact, and I'm about to blow your mind here, morality actually covers more than just "right" and "wrong." It also covers "not wrong." And no, "not wrong" is not equivalent to "right."
