we DO play duke

good defensive football IS exciting. but this-

penalties
reviews every 5 plays
random silly fumbles

is bad football. this was bad offense as well as good defense. it wasnt just great defense.

did you see the miami wr at the end? wow

terribly played game on both sides.

That's my opinion (minus the GT part)

Duke loses to I-AA Richmond, again bringing up the question: Why are the Blue Devils still in I-A football?

Boston College squeaks out an away win over Central Michigan, a traditionally bad MAC team with an idiot for a coach.

Wake Forest beats Syracuse, but loses their quarterback to an arm injury.

Georgia Tech forgets how to get a first down in the second half in a loss to Notre Dame.

North Carolina loses to Rutgers by making their runningback look like the Heisman frontrunner.

Virginia gets destroyed by Pittsburgh.

Virginia Tech, NC State, Maryland, and Clemson defeat not-so-great opposition.

Florida State and Miami's game tonight raise the question again of how do two teams that are always so good have such poor quarterbacks and play woefully bad against each other. Tonight's game tells me the only way the ACC is going to be represented well in the BCS is Virginia Tech.

i dont see why you look over the yellow jackets. nd is the #2 team in the nation. if they arent overated then gt is a really good team. we know they have a great offense and gt held them to 14. that was a well-played defensive battle. i think gt is for real.

some argue that app state is better than most lower tier 1a schools. im sure they are better than richmond which seems to be better than duke who will give some real teams a not so bad game every now and then

^next year

[Edited on September 4, 2006 at 11:48 PM. Reason : i meant we still play duke in the rotation]

From ESPN's pregame preview, it's prophetic:

Quote :
"But the first two editions of the ACC's FSU-Miami contest proved the league would be better served to stage the game later in the season. While the last two games of the rivalry have been close -- Miami won 16-10 in the Orange Bowl on Sept. 10, 2004 and Florida State won 10-7 in Tallahassee on Sept. 5, 2005 -- neither was an instant classic. There was little offense in either game, and both contests were plagued by penalties, turnovers and special teams gaffes. "

I enjoyed the game, and was glad to see FSU win.

This has been said, but FSU's running game was quite poor.

I feel a little better about our chances against the Seminole's. ...just a little better.

Both of these teams are good, very good

you cant take a lot out of this game and forecast the rest of the season because they are playing their first game and it will always be ugly

Miami and Florida State both have Top 5 defenses in the country, they are fast as shit

wont be surprised to see both in the ACC Championship game

^nice bump

well played sir....

these teams both royally suck, and they were given way to much credit at the beginning of the year for the same reason the media likes to suck reggie bush's dick before he earns it in the NFL....
