ok i have the name for what we try to do, chuck and trestman strategy

its called the "this play is soooo dumb that the opposing team will never see it coming,,, and we think that will make it become successful" scheme

if we don't throw down field very often during the game it is probably because we don't do it very well in practice...just an assumption

^ you are right, and that means changes must happen, cause thats pathetic in college football if you cant even throw downfield in practice

Sure we need to be able to throw down field, but if we're not doing it there is a reason, that's all i'm saying.

There is a very good reason. Our coaches are IDIOTS. Daniel Evans has proven he can throw the ball down the field, something Marcus never proved. Why they continue to not let him thrown downfield amazes me. You have to do SOMETHING to try to stretch the defense out.

Our entire offense just amazes me. I can go to home games and accurately predict between 50-75% of our plays...and I'm not talking run or pass...I mean what type of run, where the run is going to, what type of pass, where the reciever is going, etc. We are WAY to consistent with our playcalling.

If you want to be consistent fine, but AT LEAST keep the defense guessing by mixing it up. If you are going to run a toss sweep to one side 5 friggin times in one half, then do it again and then have the RB pass back to the QB on the other side of the field. Do something different with the Fumblerooski play other than run the EXACT same play from the EXACT same formation every single time. This hasn't changed once from Philips first year. What would happen if the QB actually held onto it once?

I mean come on? Enough is enough.

Its because 50-75% of our plays are inside traps

stupid west coast offense with east coast talent.. our line is too weak, our QBs are inexperienced, ACC defenses are too fast..

now I did notice that the short passes helped Clemson against GT last night.. although GT was shit.. remember those two plays, one with Spiller running 50yds up the sideline?

I posted earlier who could we have that is better than Chuck. Someone suggested Bill Cowher and Norm Chow. Do you really think their is a chance in hell that those two would come here? Jeeze, use some common sense people!

name any coach that would come here. i'm sure there's an nfl asst. most likely better than our joke of a coach.

anyone that unc is considering could/should also be considered by us. i'd say we have an edge over unc in luring a coach anyway.

-brand new facilities
-talent already on the roster
-fanbase that still fills the stands

I want an offensive coach....no more defensive ones unless its Cowher.

Fassel just got fired from Baltimore...and he has won a superbowl. Otherwise I want an offensive minded coach.

we should get a college coach from a lesser school that's been doing well, like the guys at either Northern Illinois, Tulsa, or Fresno State.

^^HELL YEAH!

Wait, I take that back. I'd rather him stay at USF and continue to build them until they can win the Big East.

The Big East is going to be kind of nasty in a few years. Rutgers and Pitt are both going to be real good if the coaches stay. WVU and UL are already nat'l title contenders. USF is in a good position..

V they don't play football even..

Doubt Schiano stays there long. Hell, he may even end up in Miami next season.

Also, I never though I'd say that Wannstedt might have a decent team.

will Chuck pull a Herb and get to stick around for a while longer just because he has had some big wins?

if we dont make a bowl this year (*hahaha, of course we won't), will chuck get the axe?

The Wolfpack WERE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE

People were just became deluded about a bowl game after a couple of lucky wins. Every time we get high hopes and don't do well, people are on the fire chuck bandwagon.

btw, I read somewhere that Pete Carrol used to be an assistant coach at NCSU. WTF, how do we have such badass AC's (minus a few) but can't get a decent head coach?
