These teams also have a lot of upperclassmen because the majority of their recruits weren't highly touted and they stay for all 4 years. Experience and player development can substitute for highly ranked recruiting classes.

That's the key. Until we get a good point guard, I think we're gonna struggle. The way our offense is structured, we need someone who can create open shots for others.

only reason he has the scholly is b/c we had some unexpected openings after davis and werner left, not to mention ced. we had extra scholly's and gave them to nieman and albritton for this season. they've already been accounted for with our recruits at this point.

javy coming here would mean that someone else would be losing a scholarship. whether that means someone is transferring or trying to go pro, who knows. to be honest, i have no idea why we brought lewandowski here in the first place. we are really hurting in the backcourt, and a guy like javi sounds like he could really help us out while we wait for our 2008 guys

In regards to the scholly situation, there's no telling who goes and who stays. Remember, none of these current players were recruited by Lowe himself. They are all Herb's players. There's bound to be some defections.

Also I dont know about the rest of you, but I want Jai Lucas for next year and I think we will need him badly. We will have everything but a solid PG (Degand and Johnson are transfers for a reason). Im not sure if Hickson will stick around after one year, but we will lose Grant who was a McAA himself.

All we need is a guaranteed solid PG on next years squad and we would be a juggernaut.

Yes and playing behind what could be the top PG in the nation at tennessee is why johnston left. They could be solid PGs for us, but Jai Lucas is a talent above them both. Im just being greedy is all....

Tracy Smith supposedly has the grades and SATs. The only question mark is if the NCAA Clearinghouse decides not to recognize Mt. Zion Academy, as they have some other schools.

tracy smith goes to mt. zion, which is notorious for having virtually no academics, and is not recognized by the ncaa, so therefore there is an automatic issue as to whether or not he will qualify once he graduates.
