after they punt they stop the clock until the ball is "ready for play", and then the clock is started in time with the play clock. it used to be that the clock would not start when the play clock did.

yeah, I know that, but the refs took a long time to reset it, it wasnt get down, spot the ball, clock start, there was a good 15-20 secs just standing there, after the ball was spotted
