hamilton was a rule 5 pick, right?

that means he has to stay on the 25 man roster unless traded?

that's pretty awesome

He was on ROME today. Talked a lot about his problems. Great interview.

It was a great interview. Definitely sounds like he has his head on straight. After seeing him struggle the last few years, I can hardly believe the turn around. Way to go Josh.

Yeah, Josh was a Rule 5. If I understand it, if he's not on the 25 man roster, the D-Rays can get him back for $25k. The Cubs originally grabbed Josh from TB, but traded to Cincy for cash

if the kid keeps hitting bombs like he is, he doesn't need to worry about being put back in the minors.

what else is there to say when 60% of his hits are homers (3 of 5 hits).....

holy shit, cant believe he did it again tonight. i had already figured he had the night off after they brought in their lefty closer/reliever late in the game. was the HR off a lefty or righty?

there's no way this guy needs to be out of the lineup right now.

Josh should definitly start over Ryan Freel, but they just signed him to an extension, so he probably will continue to start.

Hamilton has 3 HR... last season Freel had 8.

Hamilton has superior speed and is younger, and has a better arm.

Its dumb for him to be a pinch hitter, let him play!

I just know that kid helps us win." "

i'm glad to see him doing well finally. hopefully he'll stick with it.

maybe he'll be a superstar one day, and be my little claim to fame. he went 0-3 off me our senior year in high school, with an espn crew there.

^ haha, a lot of people went 0-for-3 off of him. I hit a bloop triple by accident

The one thing I remember about facing him was how goddamn big his feet were. One of his feet took up the entire length of the rubber. And it looked like he was throwing effortlessly and it would just get to the plate in a nannosecond.

Hamilton has a better arm no doubt, but is he really faster than Ryan Freel. Freel is pretty damn fast and when he plays, is a SB machine.

^^^nah, he went 0-3 off ME. i was doing the hurling.

i realize going 0-3 off him is nothing special, lol. he could bring it. his motion and ball movement were especially intimidating as a left handed batter.

^yeah, i remember i was always amazed at how quick he could move those boats.

Josh Hamilton drank a full glass of liquid LSD with his eggs. Then he slept for 8 months straight. When he woke he rubbed his eyes and said, "All in all, I prefer gin."

I'm happy for Hamilton as well. But figured I'd throw out the name Chris Shelton who also went nuts at the beginning of last year and ended the year in AAA. Beware of the early season binge.

well, the reds have to give him back to whoever had him (devil rays, i think) if they want to take him off their 25 man roster.

i know your point was that he might get in a slump... but just sayin'

It's usually hitters that have to figure out pitchers, not vice-versa
