leslie acted quirky, but that's what i dig about her. she couldn't sing that well, but i always liked her.

and i like her about 100x more now that she sang that Muse song. god, that got me amped.

I don't want either one of those two to win. I'll stop watching American Idol the day Mandissa 20xx wins. I can't even count how many shitty talent shows I've seen where a big girl with a big voice wins it all after singing R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

Both have great voices and I hope they both do well, but I'd rather listen to someone that doesn't sound like a million other very good R&B singers.

Doolittle could still change my mind, but I haven't seen enough performances yet.

its a singing competition. as such i want the person with the best voice to win. few could argue that anyone on that show (esp out of the girls) has a better voice than dolittle or lakisha. but i guess it all comes down to americas vote (or so they have you think).

They can only sing songs that American Idol has the "rights" to sing..

To acquire the rights to a song, they have to get permission from the artist, record label, song writer, etc.... It is a long and strenuous process... Some artists do not like their music on the show and therefore will not give AI the rights.

as jsc33 said, there is always someone terrible that sticks around way longer then they should. i wouldn't be surprised at all if antonella goes through. hell, i may even toss her a vote for the sweet pics.

sanjaya gave what is potentially the cheesiest performance since the kevin covais (chicken little) disaster on disney week. then again, sanjaya was one of the top 4 vote-getters the first week. the indian population is rallying around him like hawaii did for jasmine.

according to dialidol.com, which of course is not official, Sonjaya got the 2nd most votes this week. I just don't understand. Hell even he couldn't believe he made it through this week. They need to revise the voting for this stage. Don't let America vote until the final 12. Try to get the best 12 and go from there. AI is a freaking joke right now.

i think jordan sparks might be the darkhorse. damn good voice

Ehhh, Clay Aiken almost won, didn't he? And if you consider Ruben's post-idol career, I'd say Clay was easily the "winner" of the two. Plus Phil isn't a flamingly gay.

It really scares me to think that Sanjiya made it through last week. I imagine he's getting all the teenage girl votes, all the gay votes, and all the Indian votes. I really like the show but it makes me sick when shitty performers keep getting through. I think if everyone was only allowed to vote once, it might be a different story too.

And seriously, am I the only one who didn't think Doolittle's performance was all that great? I thought it was good, definitely not unbearable, but I dunno. The song didn't seem all that challenging, and it was kind of boring. Plus she has an abnormally large head.

I really like Blake and I hope he wins it all. I think the judges kind of like him, but not nearly as much as they like some of the girls. That sucks too, because so many people let Simon influence how they vote. Kinda like Clay and Ruben..... I don't even think Ruben was good enough to be in the top 6 or so in most shows.... oh well, whatever.

key differences are that there has already been a josh gracin and a clay aiken. phil isn't original at all and he looks creepy with his shaved head. i don't think he stands a chance.

1. why the fuck is antonella still on the show? first of all, she can't sing. that's up to the voters though. however, the producers kicked frenchie davis off for having just topless photos emerge on the net. antonella is sucking cock. yet, she wasn't booted. i know why: she's pretty and she isn't black.

2. lakisha jones and melinda doolittle are my favorites to win the show. they're both very talented, and have great stage presence. doolittle looks like a troll, and lakisha is obviously obese. so maybe sabrina sloan will win it. i like melinda's story of her being a backup singer for so long.

3. sanjaya... what... the... fuck?! that guy is creepy - like, jack-o crazy.

4. i like chris sligh alot. the guy has a good sense of humor, and he's the best male singer. he's got a hot wife too. i'd love for him to win, but i know he won't. he's not the most talented (jones and doolittle are), and he's a goofy, chubby white guy.
