If anyone is into slalom there's a slalom race up at Hobby Park this weekend - check out the forum at http://forum.downhillbillies.org/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=606 I'm much more interested in downhill, carving, and sliding, so doing some of that around here would be good... and I'm still riding my high from last weekend - we hit 50mph going down highway 181 up near Boone. I'll let you guys know next time I go up there as well, it'll probably be after the semester's over

I've got no skill, but I'd be cool with skating. I love Centennial campus, and I've been having a lot of fun on my own skating down the hills and decks.

I think for this group skate we oughta start somewhere to warm up and cruise around. How about up in the top of the Reynolds deck (the taller one) and then cruise around campus some. After that the survivors could cram in a car or two and we could hit my old neighborhood, which has a nice mile downhill string, or if we are really daring, the art museum... (have to bring a broom first to clear all the gravel... but there are some really sick sections of greenway back there in the woods.)

too bad i couldnt make the skate today, but when i was in chapel hill on saturday with my bro we took some sick hills through this residential neighborhood. Some of the steepest hills i have ever taken and then they just T into other streets so you have to slide to get around them, but with these new 96a sliding wheels i have, it was not a problem. It felt like boarding into a canyon.

Sorry I couldn't make it Sunday; another one soon? Bryan and I were talking about skating Tuesday afternoon, don't know if anyone else is interested. I want to hit up the museum trail, I've yet to skate that...

I got some new wheels in Charlotte this weekend. They are 69mm 75a (noticeably squishier than 78a) deep cut slalom wheels. They stick like monkey snot.
