how often do you guys go up there? I cant make it until June b/c I am working in MD right now, but will be down for part of the summer. My brother, friend and I have been wanting to get up to the tail for a while now, but just havent had the chance since we are so spread out. Sounds like it would be fun going with a whole group.

^^trust me, you'll mind after about an hour. your sv isn't bad compared to alot of things, but being a newish rider i doubt your body has adjusted to sitting in a riding position for hours on end yet.

^i'm hoping to take my corvette up there sometime this summer. we'll start planning another trip in a couple of months or something?

groups are fun, but it gets to be a headache if you get too many people. 5-6 cars in a group is about the max you want in my experience.

have a friend who rode the ducati monster in one day from nyc to miami in one day. he couldn't walk or do anything for an entire weekend. from what i know about bikes thats somewhat ass and back friendly bike. i cant imagine doing that on crotch rocket.

When do you start PT and how intensive will it be? Mine was suppose to be 12 weeks long but ended up being 5 months long. Expect at least 2-3 months of PT to have enough strength in your leg to comfortably control the clutch accurately.

Specially when you have your leg extended out of where its almost straight but about 10-30 degree's bent, strength at that low of a degree takes a much longer time to develop and control. I've just been getting enough strength at that low degree bent; I always had a problem of pushing the bike backwards when sitting on it, but its been 7-8 months now. Just fyi.

well the Fontana Village has tons of open cabins. I just called and reserved a 2 bedroom

I managed to get the Hemlock 2 Bedroom for $99/night instead of $129 cause their 'new' unlike the $99 cabin which is 60+ years old and hasn't been renovated
