Badfuckingass movie...

Seeing it again this weekend.

Anyone else inspired to hit the gym harder than ever after seeing this????

I give it a 6/10

It was silly how Leonidas told the hunchback he couldn't fight because the phalanx is one and stuff, but then during the battle everybody broke ranks and spent their time striking poses. Plus they said the word "Sparta" about 10,000 times. Every other word in the move was "Sparta." OK I get it, they're from Sparta. They are Spartans. Enough already!

Also I got a headache from all those glistening beach muscle chests. The battles looked cool though.

Most of the time they would break rank and get back into formation. Either way...the guy would have basically just had to linger back and come in and fight every now and then....which means he would have died pretty quickly. Leonidas was basically looking out for him when he told him he couldn't fight.

I think the best cg was the invasion fleet scene. I'm so glad I saw it on the big screen because it made my jaw dropped even more. The way they had that sea completely full of ships all the way to the horizon was pretty awesome. As for the ships up close, they looked realistic with all the men falling off and drowning and such. I would have to say this was a great movie, not the best, but really good even it was a bit short.

HOLY SHIT.

That movie was fucking amazing. My adrenaline was rushing through my body and I was PUMPED during the first battle scene. I'm buying God of War 2 first thing in the morning to let loose all this energy. Definitely a kickass movie. The overall plot wasn't that great, but yeah, like everyone said, this movie really delivers in entertaining. And I think the lines that cracked me up the most in this movie were:

Ive seen porn before

I try not to be highly critical about these types of movies b/c I know what I'm heading into but this was the same thing repeated over and over and over again.

these dudes dont believe in body armor. damn.

I felt it was the Eva Green movie and the 300 back story . She played the same character in that Johnny Depp vampire movie

I read first graphic novel before I saw the first movie but didnt do it this time for the second so i dont know if it sucked just as hard.

I couldn't understand why the main character didnt slice ol girl's head off when they first met. there was no truce being done. I get it that they wanted to throw in a sex scene but cmon.....literally

it should have been a tuesday morning matinee. I judged wrong. I like the first one better.

I didn't think this movie was terrible, but I thought it was weak that it wasn't about the Spartans. You know, the Greek city-state with a reputation for kicking ass and producing mascots for high school football teams.

The Spartans talk shit about the rest of Greece in both films and it's clear that the original's selling point was all about seeing a bunch of known badasses fucking shit up for an hour and a half. Why they dedicated another film to the lame characters who are already known to suck is beyond me. It was like that song last year that featured Kendrick Lamar where he dropped a verse talking shit about the rapper whose album he was on.

Still, it wasn't Taintlight so there's that.

^^In real life, Themistocles was probably the single person most responsible for saving Greece from the Persians. Winning the last naval battle crippled the Persians and turned back the invasion. Thermopylae was minor in comparison and was 300 spartans + thousands of pussy ass Greeks, anyway.


An the reason the spartans only sent 300 was because they were having a fucking festival.
