Just a question for those out there who engage in ethnic comments on the internet: If it's such a "joke" why don't you use the slurs to the peoples' face in public freely and as often as it occurs on the internet? I'll answer it for you, because behind a monitor you don't have to face the consequences, otherwise, you'd be missing teeth. However, the people over at IC have obviously never seen an epsiode of Southpark or Chappelle's show where the slurs get thrown around and they actually make money off of it. But just because IC (AKA Walmart Nation) is a bunch of hypocrites doesn't exactly negate your responsibilties to be civil. You best believe Bunting would print off TWW and give to recruits, why wouldn't he, it's a good move on his part, and it's not underhanded in the least, now cutting players he's promised scholarships too, well that's another issue.

to be honest, i don't really care what the outsiders think about this. sure it sucks that a mere lack of understanding may cause many people to believe our entire student body is a bunch of racists, but i'm more concerned about what our own team thinks.

i just hope that at least a few of the players are familiar with TWW and know that all of that stuff posted is complete BS. i don't want sidney and our guys to hear about this and be appalled and think we're all a bunch of racists here.

i think that a lot of those remarks are obviously unnecessary and uncalled for, but i at least know that none of it was said with any level of seriousness. the majority of what gets posted on TWW (especially chit chat) is just ridiculous garbage, and nobody outside of the TWW community understands that.

the freedom of this message board is the only thing that really sets it apart from all of the others. i don't think there's really anything i could say that would change the outsiders' minds about what they think of TWW (so why am i trying?). 90%+ of the stuff posted here is just to get a reaction or get laughs out of shock factor, rather than to actually express any serious beliefs.

so, does anyone know if the players have heard anything about this yet and what they thought of it? i don't really expect to hear of any reactions from them until after the NIT, but i figured i'd ask anyway.
