Is it possible, in fact likely, that natural processes increase the CO2 as the SUN heats the earth more during times of increased sunspot activity? Further, when these computer models are run backwards can they reproduce past observations? I would demand that much if I was to trust a simulation.

The essential summary for ^^^that article for those that didn't read it is basically looking more specifically at some of the IPCC data instead of just taking it for the summaries they present...also another important aspect it touches on is how doubt is a necessary aspect of science and how the global warming debate has somehow become doubtless, completely negating the scientific method (like i've been saying in tww soap box for literally years) which makes the scientific scope of the situation political which is inherently much more biased than raw scientific data

good read though...it doesnt try to make any assumptions about if humans are or arent causing anything...it just points out some of the flaws in the current presentation of the subject which I feel have strongly skewed opinions of the matter in an insincere manner

if you take a look at the people opposing global warming, more often then not, oil companies are funding their reserach, when you can actually find a little bit of information about the person. here is an example of someone mentioned a couple times in this thread (from wikipedia).

i would have to examine the articles, but they don't necessarily have to be false. they could just say that something else may contribute to global warming (e.g sunspots), thereby able to ignore the greenhouse gas issue completely. then you could say i have this journal article i wrote that says it's not greenhouse gases that causes global warming. it's pretty easy actually. and carter appears to do exactly that to discredit the claim of rising sea levels (see the link below for his 2004 publication)

It does matter. If the effect we are having is miniscule or irellevant, spending money on reducing our effect is a waste of money when it could be better spent researching and reducing the other effects. That is, if C02 increase is consistantly caused by global warming and not the other way arround, the premise for humans causing global warming and C02 spikes with their output is wrong (or very flawed).

what counts as aid? does military aid count? food? how is food aid measured?
