yeah, my numbers were off. I meant it's clear we won't have an 11-man rotation

The better 3 point shooter between Barber and Lewis will start.

god i hope not. I like lewis, but he isn't made for 40 mpg of basketball. who else would we have to run point? if anything we're heavy on the front end, not on the back end. has lacey run point before? i thought i saw somewhere on here that he was a PG, but wanted to go somewhere to play the 2. (maybe i'm thinking of someone else)

Not before TJ announces he is going pro, that's for sure. But I think with both getting decent minutes and State being an up and comer that everybody stays put.

Tough position for Gott, not sure how you'd choose who to keep between those 2.

Would have to love the intangibles that Lewis brings(work ethic, bball IQ, etc), but Barber just has so much more potential. Ideally we'd keep both, but I'd be fairly surprised if they both stayed.

And I always chuckle/snicker when people keep alluding to "if Warren stays", that's trivial at this point, he's 100% gone and waiting for our season to be over to announce.

Our team will have more pieces next year, but we'll still be really young(esp. if Lewis is the one that transfers), so I don't believe we'll do as well as this season. Warren kept this season from being a total shit-show and start to rebuilding. Next year probably won't be a complete clusterfuck, but it's going to be tough to watch at times as our young guys get better. Payoff season should be coming in the next couple of years though if everyone continues to progress and Gott keeps bringing in solid players.

lacey and lee can back up point. it wouldn't be ideal and it would suck if our starter is out for any extended period, but most teams are in situations like that. it wouldn't be fells/gavin grant bad

there's also the possibility we bring in devonta graham

Not to be a dick but to a guy like Lewis how are we "up and coming?" He arrived on campus to a top ten team who were ACC title favorites. Now he is playing on a team that couldn't get an at-large bid with one of the greatest players in school history on the team (and leaving).

Fwiw, though, I doubt either transfers.

PG: guys we've seen play
SG: Lee, Ralston, guys who have never played college ball
SF: Ralston, buncha guys out of high school
PF: some sophomores, some people none of us have ever seen play
C: Anya, buncha unknowns

How much better did tj or Tyler get from last year to this one? We have 4 freshmen that should make similar strides. We'll be alright. I don't really expect to see much out of the good twin, and less from the other one in terms of minutes

Typical white guy description. Why didn't you add in scrappy as well?

Lewis isn't leaving unless Gott tells him to get lost. His goal is to be a starting PG on an ACC team. This is his shot.

Barber wants to play in the NBA and he's the one coming off the bench. He's who we have to worry about.

Eh, can see how they might sound cliche, but I'd put those labels on Warren as well(Hodge has made it a point to talk about how hard Lewis works in the gym). I merely was talking about the non-athletic stuff. I think Lewis has a decent offensive game when his 3's are on point and is a really good passer as well. I just question his athleticism on the defensive side of the ball. Physically Barber is just a much more explosive athlete, Lewis is just a better PG right now. Does that sound less like "white guy vs. black guy" description? If Barber can get the mental stuff down, he could easily take back the starting spot.

Barber right now just reminds me a bit of Degand back in the day. Going to need another offseason to really hone his game, just have to hope he puts in the work.

Let's be honest: Black athletes are often more "athletic" than white athletes, in general. White athletes often have to have other intangibles besides athleticism to be successful at higher levels. So yes, often times white athletes have above average work ethic, or basketball iq (court awareness) or are scrappy, etc.... This ain't "racist", this is facts.

WTF Lacey starts next year guys.....he's 10x better than Dez Lee. Will be our best player. Mark it dude.

PG - Lewis (20) - Barber (20)
SG - Lacey (30) - Dez Lee (10)
SF - Turner (30) - Caleb Martin (10)
PF - Freeman (25) - Abu (15)
C - Washington (25) - Anya (15)

I doubt Cody plays much, redshirt possible? Might be a good thing with all the depth.

Lewis is a white guy who can't shoot. That's not typical!

Good twin? Didn't they have nearly identical rankings until one got hurt?
