I took that to just be a literary device to initially show that Peter had to go through a learning process to access his powers. Even so, if you've done something enough, it becomes more of a motor skill or reaction, and you don't have to remind yourself how you first learned it just to perform it.

Due to its kind of religious nature with the woman calling her the devil, I googled "black tears", "myth of black tears" and found something called "The Cry" or "La Llorona"...a hispanic legend, but its about a woman drowning her children and then weaping for them in the night. Legends saying her eyes would be black or empty sockets, and she'd be crying black tears.

But that's all I got.

she does seem to get rather frantic and start crying before people also cry and die...bending the legend for the story? some kind of plague? I dunno.

i found it strange that hiro was so quick to pull that arrow out of kensei's chest.... i would think that would usually lead to a quicker death. then i'm thinking "wow, hiro can heal people now?".... took me a minute to realize what was going on. i wonder if that'll play into the whole kensei cutting out his own heart story. i dont care if you can regenerate, that is hardcore.

it seems that each painting is going to be one of the original alliance (Hiro's dad, Petrelli mom, etc) death. There were 9 members, they have one of the paintings, need 7 i guess, leaving one of the others doing the killings.

everything can be related back to some book, some tv show, or some movie

there's really no point to constantly bash current entertainment anymore, because there's nothing completely fresh

Got to love it that Sylar has the virus (most likely.) Most reasonable explanation for him not being able to use his powers other than candace faking the whole thing. Although it seems that the company may be deriving a "cure" or power-supression drug from the virus or something like that.

Sylar getting Candice's power might have been the bigger mistake (for the series) since Sylar isn't supposed to be the big-bad this season.

So who thinks Hiro is the "Dragon of Kiso Mountain" and that the dragon breathing life back into Kensei is just people seeing him regenerate and thinking it was Hiro?

I've heard a lot of people speculating that Kensei becomes the big evil in this season, but that seems far too contrived. I'm sure he's still alive and probably involved if not essential in the creation of the whole company/group- but most of this is based on him having the earliest appearance of that symbol. This seems attractive at first, but that symbol appears everywhere- even places not associated with the company. I'm thinking the symbol may be the manifestation of the current season's villain's power. It could be the mark of his influence or touch. That would explain it's almost miraculous appearance on peter's arm over the clan tattoo.

My guess is that the big-villian is somewhat like an evil version of a character called "Bink" from the "Xanth" novels. He can consciously or unconsciously direct the destiny of those with powers towards his end (probably backwards in time even), which is why I'm fairly sure we've only seen the mark associated with them, but can not directly affect those without powers. Now I'm not saying mind control necessarily, but perhaps something like subtlety tilting chance and the fate of those with powers. This would explain, beyond his relationship to hiro, ando's continued role in the series. He could quite possibly be unaffected by this power and be in a position to save the day in the end.

Anyways, this is all probably WAY off.

thats exactly what I thought it was. and the "dark" man in front of her is Mohinder?

I can't wait to see what happens with Hiro and Kensei. There are so many things that could go wrong with Hiro's actions in the past.

also, after the brother and sister escaped with the American dude, they were driving a Nissan Rogue. I wonder if thats another product placement or perhaps Claire's stolen car.
