Kris was actually challenging to argue with, rather than simply being difficult to argue with, if you take my meaning. Gamecat as well.

As it stands, this forum has become so full of political zombies, trolls, and chromosomal retards that I rarely visit it any more. The three who are by far most responsible for my absence are:

Aaronburro
TreeTwista10

They've consistently not only provided inanity, but also dragged down the level of everyone else's discourse as well.

You know full well when you're "at your best" you are posting in many of the currently popular threads.

What happens when you make a statement like that, is good posters end up arguing how you are either stupid when you claim something like that 1% comment, or you are doing it on purpose to rile people up.

Either way, the end result is any true discussion about the topic gets derailed. Along the way you drop gems like this

Hooksaw uses easily identifiable trolling tactics. I recently have been mimicking them if I see him using them.

1) Create offensive nicknames (McDouche boonetard etc.)
2) Dismiss posts and posters with insults, rather than reasoning
3) Constantly make question-begging questions or statements
4) Liberal use of strawman arguments
5) and as a last resort, he'll reassert his position, and post a quote from an article with no discussion

You're pretty much guaranteed to find these in any thread he craps on.

Hooksaw does field a lot of conservative-leaning news sources that I don't come across.

But I think twista is able to decipher logical deductions much better than hooksaw. Hooksaw has the tendency to latch on to one train of thought, and can't see past it, IME. Look at the global warming thread for example, his posts on page one are practically identical to his posts on the last pages, with practically everyone else, including twista, changing their tone a little. It's like he doesn't remember anything he or anyone said in the intertwining pages. There are other threads that demonstrate it, but that's the thread that made me give up on him.

I actually listen to Boortz on occasion. For all the flack he gets there's still plenty of substance behind his positions. You just have to dig through the bitching, ranting, and belligerence inherent in his delivery. Any liberal who takes themselves too seriously will tear their hair out halfway through the show.

I think of hooksaw the same way. Sure he seems to live for riling us up, but there's usually some substance behind it that I have to consider before explaining why he's wrong
