^^that would be my preferred starting 5...it would be kind of nice to have either JJ or Ben available off the bench for depth and minutes, but I think thats probably our best starting 5 with Fells out

I just want to see the same State team we saw last year. The team that gave everything they had against all odds. The team that played like they had nothing to lose.....with passion and desire. The team that demanded respect from its opponent, win or lose. If they show me half the heart they showed us all last year then i'll be proud of them no matter what the outcome.

you guys keep talking about last year but last year we were a top 15 team with atsur healthy. I think we only lost 3 games like that.

Unc is not as good as they were last year. Just because they are undfeated #1 doesn't mean they are better. Just the fact that they've only played one good team.

With Degand and Fells we would've had a good chance to win but this is completely different than any other game. You don't win games without a backcourt and we were weak in that area coming into the season and now our weakness is completely wiped out into non extistance.

The only way we win is if Furg Javi or johnson comes out of nowhere and has a great game or of course if Lawson goes out somehow. Based on how Javi and Marques look handling the ball its going to be 20+ turnovers saturday against an overplaying defense. If you can handle the pressure you can score on unc but even if we manage to score on unc which is our biggest obsticle we still have to play decent on d and GET REBOUNDS

Every player on Duke, UNC, Georgetown, UConn, etc, etc... It's beena disturbing trend for us this year of playing HORRIBLY in multiple cupcake games. UNC or Duke or G'Town might throw up a clunker in one or two of their cupcake games but not FOUR in one season.

The reality is that we underestimated what losing Atsur would mean and we aren't even close to healthy right now...

Well I expect us to beat those schools HANDILY every single time we play them. I don't expect us to be tied with 5 minutes to go or to score a combined 105 points against them. Forgive me for fucking having some high standards for a talented group.

How can any rational person think that we are in a good position heading to Chapel Hill to play the #1 team in the country after the first 14 games of the year. Am I happy we're 11-3 instead of 10-4 or 9-5? Of course I am... but that doesn't mean I'm satisfied with how we have been playing and think we have the ability to just flip a switch against the ACC.. it isn't that easy unless you are LOADED like UConn was in '06 (and even then the flipping of the switch cost them a National Title).

We have a fatal flaw that is more exposed now than ever as of the time Degand went down. With one of the few guys on the team who has the ability to take over any game he plays in (fells) hurt and possibly not even playing, forgive me for being a little skeptical of our chances.

the next 16 games are what matters now... its a new season. The nonconference season only establishes how many conference wins u need to make the tourney. We need to win 9 of the 16 to get into the tourney with what we did in the nonconference season, possibly 8 with one in the tourney depending on the strength of the conference and the strength of the individual wins.

Ive never seen so much bitching about an 11-3 start in my entire fucking life.
