Holy fuckballs, some of these bosses are rough. I had to resort to spamming the fireball ninpo to get past the second spiderboss .

It sucks that with the Autosave mode you can't go to an earlier save...many boss fights I've wanted to go back and buy more health pots because I only had one just to find that I was restricted to fighting the boss.

But autosave is so convenient

^Nah, I killed that guy easy. It was having to fight him with 6 other ninja's in the arena at the same time, who all seemed to respawn since I couldn't kill all his minions off. That's what I would do in the Master Ninja challenges, kill all the smaller guys. Either that or just focus on the boss if I had enough room to work around them all.

That water dragon boss was pretty interesting 0.o

Actually, fuck that final boss when you only have one spiritual herb to use. I'm a little herb/grain happy on new bosses and that doesn't work well in Chapter 14 when they're all right after each other.

Beat that bastard though.

so funny story i've been playing ninja gaiden sigma on very hard more - i was fighting the evil ryu clone and nearly had him but he cast firewheels and kept trying to flying swallow attack me and killed me

i threw my controller onto my ottoman and it bounced back and hit me in the face

it kinda hurt too

as i was standing up i threw it and it came right back in my face i really have a bruise on my nose

its the only game out there that is so hard it kicked my ass in real life - i've been doing pretty good on very hard mode though i'm on mission 8

i started using the Lunar for the first time against the cat enemies works pretty well

yea i never used it on normal or hard then i got to the archive fiend challenge and was having problems so I saw a guy an youtube using the Lunar and decided to give it a shot

yeah, i've found the lunar staff is pretty bad ass.

How do you unlock the Test of Valor missions? I found something in the first couple levels on Mentor mode that said it would unlock something, but I died before I could save the game. It dropped after I had to kill a ton of enemies who kept respawning. Thoughts?

Chapter 2: Rod Of Trial

The Rod Of Trial is an item that grants access to the Test of Valor, which is a series of challenges found in several chapters that, upon completion of a test, will generously reward the victor with rare and useful items. In order to get the Rod Of Trial, defeat all the enemies running down from the stairs and into the yard. When you have killed all the ninjas, the candles behind the fence will light up and the Rod Of Trial will appear. If you hare having difficulty defeating the enemies in the yard, target the archers around the perimeter before killing the ninjas rushing towards you. The arrows from the archer are difficult to spot, especially if you are surrounded by a group of ninjas. The in-game description of the Rod Of Trial is "A rod symbolizing the fighting spirit, cast from the purest of gold. Those upon whom it is bestowed face an endless path of battle, as though they walked through the underworld itself. It is said that those who carry it must face hordes of opponents in fights to the death known as Tests of Valor. According to legend, this treasure was one possessed by the god of war himself."

There is a bug in both NGs that somehow makes your controller fly at 120mph towards the wall, just be lucky it was your ottoman and it didn't break.

after hitting myself in the face with my controller i would like to report that i just beat ninja gaiden sigma on master ninja

my karma score was 111 out of 557 online entries

i've seen bigalski on some of the youtube videos, his karma score is 1 million points higher than mine

Master Ninja mode is so god damn hard. I just got to the level 1 boss today, and its gonna be rough. I ended up camping a gray ninja spawn point and get 100,000 essence to upgrade my dragon sword to level 3 and lunar staff to level 2 along with filling up on grains and shrooms . Definitely should've done Staff to 3 and sword to 2 though, the difference between them is insane .

Ok so I think I am getting the moves but when it says like X X X > Y does that mean X, X, X, forward then Y or forward and Y at the same time? Rookie question but I would appreciate a serious answer because this game is badass.
