seriously.

i've said this before but my cat does NOT cover her poop in the litter

she poops then she wipes paws on front of litter box, goes back down and smells her poop, wipes paws, smells poop, wipes paws, smells poop, wipes paws on side of litter box, smells poop, wipes paws, smells poop, wipes paws, jumps out

it takes like 5-10 minutes for her to do all this.

what gives

When I say 'whoring about' in reference to my cat, I mean
- doing the inside out rolypoly move
- wiggling all over with her belly up
- writhing on the floor

I was doing laundry, and found her whoring about in the dog's kennel.

I think I might get a leash and see if I can take him for walks.

And be one of those people.

yoshi jumped into the (real) xmas tree, tore down some ornaments, ran up the cat tree thing and knocked stuff off the wall, then tried to pick on the couch. i was yelling and squirting him with water the whole time. he was determined to destroy something.

then a few minutes later i noticed the food bowl was empty. i filled it up, he ate, and the world was at peace once again. so much for a diet.

^^ that is what i want to do with my cat because i think she'd like it

but she won't wear her damn collar so. i don't know what to do. maybe if i just put the leash on the collar and try. but she definitely won't keep her collar on inside

I would get one of the harness-type ones that go around all four legs that they can't (easily) get out of if you think that wouldn't completely freak her out. But you don't want her getting scared and getting out of a normal collar.

she keeps trying to eat our fake christmas tree. this is the first time we have had a fake tree, and she likes to munch on other plants in the house (and sometimes throw them up, none are poisonous no worries). so she's really confused by it. she was walking around the bottom in circles sampling every branch

she still hasn't figured out that they are ALL plastic.

Mine apparently just took a banana off the table and played with it like it was a cat toy. I found it on the floor with little holes all over it, and it's all brown now. What a tard.

Ya think she's cold?

Yesterday, I took her out in the snow a couple times. The first time, she looked interested in the flakes, until one landed on her face and melted. Then she jumped out of my arms, and huddled on the porch in a very passive position.

Later, I took her out, and threw her into the snow. Again with the 'WTF' business til she realized it was water, and then she ran under the car, and then to the door to be let in.

my kitty went nuts over the snowflakes (from the inside ofcourse, she would probably die outside, she is kindof a spoiled brat). she ran around from window to window freaking out watching them fall. not really weird. but cute!!!

She licks me all the damn time - more than in the past. Even my clothes sometimes.

Oh, and
- she lets me pick her eye boogers
- she LOVES rubbing her chin on the metal grooming brush for the dog. She rubs so hard I worry she'll cut herself somehow
- she tries to back away when I use this brush to brush away her loose fur, but purrs a LOT the whole time I'm brushing her, and does roll over to get new parts brushed. WTF

she's biting me

because i use these kind of hair ties:

and she likes to play with hair ties/rubberbands. there was one on my wrist and she just kept snapping me with it so i put it in my hair. now she's just nipping my wrist looking for it (since they're clear)

Why does the momma cat keep bringing her five week old kittens downstairs and hiding them under the chair? I thought we were past the obsessive mothering stage, she hasn't done this since the first day they were born!

P.S. anyone want a kitten in about two weeks?

Kitten, about 9 months ago

Playing with the dog

1) Dips paw in water and drinks from it
2) Jumps in tub after showering and sits between liner
3) Climbs trees and gets on garage roof

1. Will talk back to you when you ask him a question. Eerily he gets his point across
2. Will knock ANYTHING off my nightstand just to watch it fall
3. Head-butts to show his affection. It's gotten to the point that when I want to pet him I tilt my head to the side and he'll chirp and come running over to get some love.

He also sleeps like this on the regular

You totally stole my cat.
He looks and acts like that.

Except that instead of drinking from his paw, he just splashes the water around for no reason. Goes everywhere. Then his paw comes out and he shakes it really hard and the water flies all over the damn place.

Maybe because he's so hngry all the time. He's on a diet and really does not like it. And he hasn't lost any weight except for last weekend when I was out of town.

my cat is (quasi) on a diet. she had to take a vacay to my boyfriend's parents house and lost a lot of weight because they have 6 other cats so she had playmates. now i have her again and she looked SO skinny at first, but she's getting fatter.

its because when i don't feed her she gets really annoying so then i just cave in.

she weighs 12.5lbs

She plays with random stuff in the bedroom and wakes me up at 4:00 to 5:00 am every fucking day. I then proceed to lock her in the 2nd bedroom every fucking day so I can get that last hour of sleep before work.

I can't just lock her out of my bedroom. She'll cry/meow outside the bedroom door until she can get back in.

She's only a few months old so she'll hopefully get over it.

^ that is what my cat did when she was little. she grew out of it. now she's lazy and sleeps in as long as i sleep in or if i wake up early, she glares at me and then keeps sleeping!

honestly my cat woke me up at 4:30 or 5am everyday and i locked her in a bathroom. same deal - she'd meow and scratch outside my door so i couldn't just lock her outside of my room.

luckily she got over it or else we would have had a problem!

ok this isn't weird or routine, it is just something my dumbass cat did today that she's never done before.

i was cleaning out her litter box and putting a liner in it will new litter. and my cat makes a MESS with her litter. i don't know how she does it. i have litter mats to "catch" the litter and everything but she still gets it all over the floor. so the litter box is in a corner so i had it pulled out to put the liner in, etc and then i was going to sweep up the excess litter she got on the floor.

well i guess SOMEONE had to pee and couldn't hold it OR just pee in a litter box w/o litter. so she went over to the corner and squatted down over her pile of excess litter and peed on it. i watched it happen and there was nothing i could do!

but is it bad that i thought it was kinda cute. she still tried to pee on litter. what a sweeeetie. haha.

she tried to get out of a sliding door and just stood with half of her body in and half of her body out and cried.

my cat, chloe, is SUCH a baby! whenever i leave town for a few days, which is often, shes such a lovebug when i get home. she follows me up and down the stairs, rolls over the belly rubs (both of these are pretty common) but when its bed time, she gets all up in my grill.

usually she sleeps toward the bottom of the bed but after a long absence, she insists on spooning. last night i was sleeping on my side with my arm stretched out and she curled up by my arm and rested her head in my hand and slept like that until i moved. then she moved down toward my stomach so i could spoon her.

she like to meow a lot in the morning for food. food is downstairs so depending on how early it is or how annoying shes being, i'll lock her in the laundry room since that is where her litter box is. if i just shut her out of my bedroom, she scratches the door and the carpet under the door to get my attention. laundry room is tiled and down the hall, problem solved.

otherwise, shes just a big sweetheart. when my mom came to visit she thought it was so cute how chole would get in my lap when im on the couch and let me hold her like a baby in my arms. she looks up at me with her head resting on my upper arm and just purrs as i pet her. i love it!! best pet ever and low maintenance.

My cat likes to
sleep on my chest
run and dive on my bathroom rug and slide across the floor
chase her tail in circles
hide between the shower curtain and jump out to catch her tail
beg for food
run away
avoid men
wipe the spilled litter up around her litter box after using it.

my cat is purring on me right now and licking me because i won't pet her.

she is going to have a serious heart attack because i am leaving tomorrow for 5 days.

my cat sounds like ncsuwolfy's cat - my cat is a SUPER lovebug. even if i'm just gone for work she will follow me around non-stop when i get home and try to get me to pet her or sit near me and purr and purr and purr.

she is going to get a rude awakening when i go on vacation tomorrow!

My cat back home would eat rubber bands all day if given the chance. You'd know when he had found some because he would shit out logs with rubber bands sticking out of them.
