the RLA seem to indicate that unit is either a 1.5 ton or 2 ton unit. Based on the age, I'd guess it's a 1.5 ton unit. 7/6/2009 6:05:37 PM |

So I ended up moving out of that house a while ago and getting my own apt. My electric bill has never been over $40. 7/7/2009 12:09:12 AM |

You are right, E, it is a 2 ton unit. I looked at the wrong number. 2 ton is about right for 1200. 7/7/2009 9:34:52 AM |

mine was 72 and i'm in a one bedroom. i was pretty pleased cause last summers bill was 82 for the same period and my apt has a large glass window/sliding door which faces the hottest 8 hours of daylight a day

holy crap on some of the monthly bills that have been posted on here. i think the most we (former/current roommates) and i ever had was ~160 i think. and that's between either 3 or 4 people depending on the year. i would have been livid with anything much higher. thermostat hovers 70-72, and the electronics in every one of those apartments... well we were/are nerds. 7/23/2009 7:19:28 PM |

The homeowner keeps changing it, but usually 74 - 76. There are two thermostats (main floor and basement). We are all pissed. Not much we can do except make sure the measurement was accurate.7/23/2009 7:23:19 PM |

Someone could be siphoning power from you. You could shut everything in the house off and check to see if the meter is still turning.7/24/2009 10:18:42 AM |
