1) Not in USDM model 2) Not 400 hp (last gen) 3) Owner also has last gen Escalade ESV, and he has done 115 mph in that as well 4) All speeds I mentioned are on public highways6/30/2009 2:41:05 AM |

What's the percentage error, generally speaking, on a factory speedometer?
Considering the fastest I've driven is 105 indicated, I probably haven't actually ever been into the triple digits. And I still don't think I've ever had the Marauder over 90...kind of sad. 6/30/2009 11:25:43 AM |

I know that the Porsche has about 10% error (metal shards in the transaxle is interferring with the magnetic sender, so it reports slower than actual ).
I compared the 1993 MX3 with the new Lexus IS250, and they are both spot on up to 80mph, with each other that is.
Tires make a huge difference. Make sure you have the right kind. Keep in mind you'll have slight discrepancies although sizes may be the same between two tires, although they should be unnoticeable unless you are going 100mph or faster.

I think I might have hit somewhere near 70mph on I-85 between here and Charlotte. There's a zone where the speed limit is 70mph and as a result I was able to nearly reach that speed. ] 6/30/2009 12:40:04 PM |

How accurate are the speedometers on Garmin GPS? compared to say a factory speedometer.
My speedometer shows about 5-6mph lower than the GPS when i'm driving in the 80mph range the speedo shows about 3-4mph lower than the GPS in the 60mph range 7/1/2009 1:27:50 PM |

it's been my experience that a Garmin is a lot more accurate than my factory speedo
btw, I once turned on a Garmin GPS on a plane and it got up to over 600 mph. lol 7/1/2009 1:45:19 PM |

130 on a TL1000R.
My Accord does 130 right before fuel shutoff. Verified this quite a few times.
I dunno how many cars or bikes I've driven over 115 mph.
If it doesn't cruise easily at 100, I'm really not interested. 7/6/2009 1:15:00 AM |
