Is expecting your waitress to swing by the table a few minutes after you get your food, to see if everything is okay or if you need anything, really that unreasonable? There are three times, minimum, I expect to see a waitress promptly during a meal: When you're first seated, for a drink order, after your food is delivered, and after you've laid out your payment.
Yesterday: lunch with a friend. No such luck (she was a SHITTY, SHITTY waitress outside of this, but that's another story. And it was slow)
Tonight: dinner with my bf at a very small restaurant. Didn't show up until my glass had been empty for a good many minutes, and I had, literally, eaten half my meal.
Common sense says if the customer needs something fixed, you want to find out sooner rather than later. 7/2/2008 9:41:41 PM |

the last time i went to player's retreat i had honestly the worst service i'd ever had in my life. trash was literally sitting right next to the booth i was eating in. it was like an inch away from my foot. a garbage bag of smelly trash. that was pretty much the least of my problems though. i've never not left a tip. but that was the closest i've come (because i wasn't paying. tschudi was and he did not tip).
luckily we were able to get some more beers for ourselves. from the bar. i guess we should have left but some people behind us already walked out. i felt sortof guilty but honestly when you ordered a hotdog in an empty restaurant you keep expecting it to come out any second. and that is what SHE kept telling us too.
poor player's retreat. i liked that place but i've heard some shitty stories about it recently

Good ^HAHAHA That's where I went for lunch with a friend yesterday.
I hate delivering from there. They take FOR.EVER! making the food, and all too often, they fuck something up.
I left $0.04 on $8.86. I never stiff, because then they can think 'oh, it was an accident'. If I leave a 2 or 4 cent tip, you know that's not accidental.
And when I drove past nearly an hour later, our trays and shit were still on the table outside. The burger was REALLY good, though
