t-shirt, shorts and sandals...

Unless I'm going out to a casual dinner or something, I like to wear athletic shorts (mesh nc state ones for instance) and a tee (not a plain white one)...

I'm dressy when I'm at work... outside of work I have no desire to be...

I love the summer because I can break out the cargo shorts.

Makes it much easier to carry around your wallet, keys, cell phone, MP3 player, digital camera, and game boy micro/DS lite.

However, this makes it absolutely necessary to have a belt.

^haha exactly. I have defin put the ds lite in my cargo shorts before. A belt is a must.

It goes either way. If a hobby of mine lends itself to wearing cargo shorts than i'm typically going to also wear cargo shorts all the time. This isn't a good analogy but like if you play baseball all the time you typically wear a baseball hat even if you don't need to (inside).

Compact flash are not comfortable in side/back pockets. If you're climbing/holding in a weird position they can dig into your side or something.

V i would imagine it would be much harder to climb things.

^^^again, they would not be wearing them to climb things. It's not like the majority go about life w/ the possibility or idea "hey, what if I have to climb something today"

^who are you referencing? Many photographers (example i used) have to wear versatile clothing so they can climb/maneuver around places and zipper cargo pants are great for it.

The thing to note on short length is height of the individual. I'm just under 5'8". 9'' inseams look retarded on me.
