atrocious game

on the upside, when UM wasn't turning it over, their offense looked pretty good.

maybe against wisco we won't spot them 14 pts to start the game...

You were playing Notre Dame who struggled against San Diego State, I wouldn't say Notre Dame's defense will be on the same level as the Badgers.

right, but if you watched the game UM GAVE them 14 points. They muffed two kicks. The ND defense didn't have to do anything.

Badgers didn't look too hot against Fresno St last night either.

yep... the loss did hurt but... we killed ourselves in the worst way possible

offense is looking good though

so good for notre dame, but i just cant give them the credit
i dont like them or their fans, but from my experience they are very classy like wolverine fans so im happy for them getting this win over their rival michigan

ohio state fans are just complete classless a-holes so i'd just love to watch them burn like that protesting monk youtube clip

and a big thank you to the USC TROJANS!!!

^^ Basically, yeah. Good on 'em for the win. They earned it, but only in the sense that they didn't blow it after the ~eight gifts we gave them - they capitalized and held it together.

Good news: We beat ourselves, and there is hope for the season.

Bad news: ...we beat ourselves and lost to ND.

nice bye week, cant lose if you dont play

http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080919/SPORTS06/80919004/1054/SPORTS06

but this is good... defensive end commit

Quote :
"Scottsdale, Ariz. defensive end Craig Roh gave Michigan an oral commitment to join its 2009 football recruiting class Thursday night.

Roh is a four-star recruit and the nation's No. 8 weakside defensive end according to Rivals.com. He chose Michigan over others offers including USC, UCLA, Nebraska and California.

"I'm going to be committing to the University of Michigan - Go Blue!," Roh announced on ESPNU Thursday night. "I just knew in my heart that that was the place where I could really maximize my potential, physically, mentally and really in all aspects."

Roh is the second high-profile defensive end to commit to the Wolverines in less than a week. Fellow four-star defensive end Anthony LaLota gave Michigan an oral pledge last Friday on a CSTV telecast.

"There were a couple of factors," Roh told the Arizona Republic. "First, their weight-lifting program is amazing. I felt like I really connected. And their academics are amazing. I really felt a family atmosphere at Michigan, something I could fit into."

Roh collected 16 sacks last season. Of his 99 tackles, nearly half (45) were tackles for loss. Roh also boasts a 4.2-grade-point average."

"Two 2010 commits in, another likely coming for U-M

The commitment of Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips junior wide receiver Ricardo Miller (6-3, 203 pounds) to Michigan last Monday kicked off a week of good news involving the class of 2010 for the Wolverines.

Michigan followed up the commitment of Miller with a pledge from Ann Arbor Huron wide receiver Jeremy Jackson on Wednesday. The 6-4, 195-pound Jackson is the son of Michigan running backs coach Fred Jackson. He held offers from the likes of Texas, Florida, Louisville, Iowa and others before committing to Michigan.

“Me and my dad talked (Tuesday) about it and I just felt like that's what I wanted to do,” Jackson said. “My dad wanted to make sure I went to Michigan, not because of him, but (because) it was the decision I wanted. It was and I'm happy about it.”

Jackson and Miller know each other well, having met at Michigan’s summer camp in June. The pair has stayed in telephone contact since and will reunite on Oct. 25 when Miller travels to Ann Arbor with family members and teammates to see the Wolverines take on Michigan State.

Joining Miller and Jackson in Ann Arbor that weekend will be Eagle Lake (Fla.) Lake Region safety Marvin Robinson, considered by Rivals.com to be among the top 10 rising prospects in the class of 2010. The 6-2, 190-pound Robinson also has a flurry of offers from the likes of Florida, USC, Ohio State and Tennessee, but Michigan has jumped out to a commanding lead for the Florida defensive back.

“I'm going to talk to the academic counselors at Michigan and let my mom and (dad) talk to them while we're up at the game,” Robinson said. “After that there's a chance I might verbally commit to Michigan.”

Adding Robinson to their 2010 class would give Michigan their greatest number of commitments from a junior class before Signing Day. The Wolverines have had junior prospects pledge this early – Kevin Grady in the class of 2005 and William Campbell in this year’s class – but never three before Signing Day for the senior class.

Twenty years ago the bulk of recruiting did not take place until after high school players’ senior seasons, but the advent of better evaluation methods as well as earlier development of high school players has sped the process up. Signing Day for the class of 2009 is still four months away, but those coaches not already deep into recruiting with the 2010 class are already behind. Last week’s activity shows Michigan is setting a torrid pace for its rivals to follow.

Good lord.

We knew it would be a force-fit trying to bring RR's little system to Michigan Football, but this against Toledo?

...TOLEDO?!?!?!?!

UNacceptable.

Absolute complete rock bottom. At least App State was a plain fluke.

Now we're just stuck with an incompetent coaching staff and clumsy players.

I'm done with this season. Heck with em. They don't deserve to play in that stadium. Shame on us for hiring outside, and shame on us for losing sight of the significance of the program.

^ I know. That's the one thing that stings the most out of all this. Even bringing an inferior style to the program could yield success eventually, but that streak is an enormous point of pride.

Who's got the second longest streak? (soon to be longest)

Rest in peace, Michigan Football. I don't even care if we beat ohio state. This season is an utter calamity. It's not good for college football. Sure it happened, and does exist on the books...but I'm going to go ahead and try and forget that this ever happened. I was right from Day 1 on the outsider "coach."

the thing that is hurting the most is this defense...
scott schaefer is not right for this team

ron english was and rich rod could have got him the personnel he needed

defense HAS to change, and STOP COACHING FROM THE PRESS BOX ASSHOLE, get on the field and in your sorry ass defense's face and let them know they are straight up giving opponents an easy 40+ points per game against the fucking big ten
