Isn't that automatic? I downloaded another song and it installed automatically...or did I absently hit a button to install it?

If I didn't install it, how do I check that...and install it?

If I download songs for Rock Band onto one PS3, is there a way to transfer them onto another PS3 system?

Case in point: A roommate I currently live with has a PS3 but I am moving out soon. I bought RB for the PS3 b/c I intended to get one for myself at some point. I'm moving out next week and will shortly there after buy a PS3. Will I be able to transfer downloaded songs over? Or are they restricted due to copyright laws, etc?

As long as it's under your name you can download the tracks.

or you can have access to your roommates account, download the songs using his name, install them, and then they will run on your account too.

did they ever come out with a way to transfer RB1 songs onto RB2 for the PS3?

Damn, the only way to do this is to buy RB1 for PS3? B/c I have RB1 on the PS2.

^ I got Rock Band 1 for like $7 on Goozex, but if you know a friend to borrow it for 5 minutes, that works too.

I've never seen it reported that they don't. The issue was actually going the other way (using World Tour's drum kit for Rock Band 2). You'll have four notes + bass pedal, and the charts will adjust accordingly.

yeah all the articles/sites i came across were talking about it in the opposite way than what i'm looking for. that's why i was having trouble finding legit info.

i'm just gonna buy the game tonight and see. i wonder if i buy those clip on cymbal things will it add the 5th drum pad back on the screen...?

It won't - those are assigned to be blue/yellow/green pads. They wouldn't sub in as orange pads.

Also, don't bother with the cymbal attachments anyway.

I was really excited to try them out, and they get a big thumbs down for me. It felt like I was hitting pots and pans when I hit the cymbal "pad," and there was absolutely no rebound whatsoever, which comes in handy playing fast parts.

They completely broke my rhythm too, and they felt really unnatural. The RB drums without the cymbals felt more like my real drums than the RB drums plus the cymbals.

Right now Kmart is clearing their inventory of Rock Band 1 stuff. I bought a new drum set on Saturday for $6.99. Yup, just $6.99. I have RB2 but these drums are close enough so that if my set fails I've got a back up.

I also heard Walmart was getting rid of their RB1 drum sets for $9.99 but I can't confirm it.

Thought this would be useful info to some people that keep up with this game.
