I loved the magical power of enzymes. I have to keep myself from thinking about a lot of the biological aspects. Such as, how exactly do humans fly? No wings, propulsion?, etc.

Ok...so far this season the character developments that I hate...

Mohinder....seriously...you should have dumped that shit into the water rather than shoot it up...I'm glad that your falling part now but I bet the writers are going to turn the dude into some vampire/villian that bites people and spread of the "super powers" genes

Hiro...he's like a firefighter that sets fires to be a hero. Be content with your rich ass and chill out rather than going out and looking/creating trouble

even for non-medical students, Mohinder's research is a bit ridiculous. Apparently his father has spent years studying this stuff and has it linked to some evolutionary genetic gift (which is ridiculous notion in itself, that all of these traits would apear throughout the world at the same time, but anyway….) and Mohinder completely invalidated that with a House-like flash of inspiration and realized that it was, OMG, related to the adrenal glands the whole time! Then within minutes he had confirmed this. Then, in a weak shout-out to the scientific method, he's like "please wait while I go duplicate these results upstairs"

Haha "Click to hunt for killer's IP"

But yeah apparentely when evolution decided to give people special abilities it also decided to take out everyone's immune systems. That explains why these people can just freely inject other people's shit into themselves and have nothing go wrong.

So is Mohinders substance the same as the one Hiro had? I have a feeling that Mohinder is going to be the one to cause major problems, and Hiro's substance is really one that removes powers.

Claire is a lil annoying...WTF can she do other than not die?

Hiro...so not cool right now...he needs to get his sword back...

Maybe I missed something but how did the company get Sylar to go along with them? Every time we have seen Sylar in the past, he has been a complete lone wolf intent only on making himself more powerful. He has NEVER listened to reason before. I thought maybe he was just playing along so that Bennet would lead him to the escaped villains, but [obviously] he would have gone ballistic the second he knew where they were.

Also, I thought that Bennet knows Hiro/Ando. If he sees them in the cell, wouldn't he know that Hiro isn't dangerous and let him go?

Wraith, the answer to pretty much all your questions is "Angela Petrelli."

She's already fed Sylar one power, basically offered it up on a silver plate. She also takes advantage of his mommy issues. Working for the company basically means access to brains, access to motherly approval, access to some level of respect.

Angela's also the most logical explanation for Hiro and Ando's predicament. She's in charge of the Company, not Bennet; Noah made it pretty clear that his involvement is limited to picking up the villains. Besides, it's likely that their detention is temporary, just until the Company can figure out what the hell to do with them and their information.

The Sylar-Bennet alliance is cracking me up, especially the sort of perverse way Sylar craves Bennet's approval. I'm wondering if the Sylar wearing an apron is in the future, and this whole situation has led him to eventually put together a normal life.

^^^ I think it has to be the future, it was Peter who sees him wasn't it? And he is currently in the future with future Peter. Though I thought in Angelas dream Sylar was murdering people. I just can't wait till Angela gets eaten by Sylar.

I see what you mean there, GrumpyGOP, it is just hard to picture him like that since he has always been such a badass. Like when Angela took the plug out of his nose (I guess that is some kind of sedative or something), the Sylar I know would have instantly pinned her up against he wall and taken her powers, then gone on a rampage.

Another question though... why did he stop with the bald guy when stealing powers? The pyro guy was right there, he could have gotten his brain too and he could have easily stopped the fear guy. I wonder if the person has to be alive to take their power? Magneto was dead but his brain was still in tact, I'd think Sylar would say "meh, no use letting a perfectly good power go to waste".

Yeah I guess it is future Sylar in the apron, but if he starts trying to lead a normal life, I'd think he'd try to become a hero? But I guess that would put him around too many people with powers and he'd be tempted to "satisfy his hunger"

Well, the pyro guy had already been led out of the building with Bennett I think. The guy that "fed on fear" or whatever ran off, so he only had the sound manipulation villain to deal with.

I love the direction they are taking Sylar, he's quickly becoming my favorite.

I honestly think Sylar is going along with it because a part of it is interested in Angela's promise to "fix" his hunger problem.

I really wish they would just drop this whole stupid Nikki line. I'm not a fan of any of it. So now there are several of them running around with different powers? Great.

Was anyone else pissed that Parkman now apparently just "learned" the future ability?

season 1 >> 3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 2

^^Parkman didn't exactly learn it, we only saw his eyes go silly. The dude in Africa could have just given him some future juice from his brain or something that might temporarily do something.

I think maybe Sylar thought Peter was still in the bald guy's body and wanted all of Peter's powers (which still includes some he doesn't have)?

I'm glad they left Mohinder out of this one. I wouldn't mind if they left him out completely. Oh noes, the antibodies have turned my skin sticky! My guess is he develops a formula that takes away abilities to help himself and it ends up getting released and fuckin everything up, which would be totally lame.

Yeah Peter still has a number of powers that Sylar doesn't... but I guess Peter has every power that Sylar does since he has been around him a number of times. Sylar can't fly, freeze time/teleport, read minds, turn invisible, and a few other lesser powers.

So since young Peter was around the three criminals when time was frozen, does he have their powers now?

also, sylar came in right as/after Mr. Bennett was like "thanks peter" and jesse replied "peter's not here anymore" so he probably heard him say that before he got him in the telekinetic choke hold

lol

the lengths we go to make sense of this show

I think it's amazing how I'm so interested in a show that has left so many plot holes wide open, yet never even attempts to explain them.

I also think they are going to have to put a cap on Peter at some point. This whole "just being around people" thing is going to cause problems. I mean, seriously? He has every single power in the show so far? And then being around his "future" self, he can now:

fly
morph
heal
"feed on fear"
sonic yell
read minds
control minds
teleport
super hearing
telekinesis
paint the future
wasn't he around nikki? so super strength
shoot blue fireballs
self-destruct (ted)

i know i'm missing at least 5 probably

but still, this is getting to be a bit much

there's a difference between a plot hole and plot. not revealing something doesn't make it a plot hole. chances are, they're going to reveal it later.

No, he can't. You'll recall that in Season 1 he tossed Claire off to the side in order to get at the brains of her bitchy little friend, which contained no powers. And in the latest webcomic (which deals with the two agents we saw him kill last week) he asks which one of them has powers, and when they lie to him he goes after the wrong set of brains.

Quote :

On at least one previous occasion, Sylar has tried to stop killing people and return to some level of decency -- although admittedly he ended up killing his mom by accident instead. He's not a senseless, constant killing machine -- that would be one dimensional and dull. He has these other motivations, they just usually don't win out.

They always seem to imply that he can sense powers though. Like in this last episode when he looked at Angela and the ticking started, he had a look on his face like he knew he would have hers eventually.

this reminds me of X3, when magneto is talking to jean and says something like "i can control the metal in this gun, but you......you can do anything." i think i'd rather be able to control anything rather than limit myself to just metal.

but you're probably right, i bet they have to be alive for him to get a power

Adding to the list of Peter's powers:

freeze things (Sylar froze Hiro's sword in that one episode)
walk through walls
shoot electricity
Dream about the future
Was he ever around Micah? If so, talk to machines
What about Molly? If so, locate anyone

And once everyone gets ahold of Mohinder's serum, all he has to do is walk (or fly?) down the street and he'll get like 50 new powers.
