This guy is claiming that everyone is against his race, that devil's food cake is called that because it's black (I always thought devil's food cake was red... you know... like the devil.... go figure), yet he makes all of these assumptions about scientists. Apparently he thinks that the phrase "black hole" (Note that he calls it a word) is a negative remark equivalent to "jewing" somebody. A Black Hole is neither negative nor positive, it simply is. Of course, this guy couldn't be prejudiced, could he? I mean, all scientists who work on astrophysics are obviously white. And we all know that when the white scientists found that stars were collapsing in on themselves they said, "HAHAHA, dude, we could like, call this a white hole, seeing as how it GIVES OFF NO LIGHT and stuff, but wouldn't it be funnier if we made it into a Black Hole? Get it? BLACK Hole? See, then it would be a racist remark, because everyone knows it would make more sense if it were called a white hole!"



I guess he realizes that nobody is even credited with "discovering" a black hole and I'm not even sure if it's known where the term came from. Initially they were called "invisible stars," since their gravitational effects are identical to the stars that formed them.

Oh, one other thing I was thinking of. He kept saying "jewing somebody" (Or something else along those lines) as an example of a phrase that is similar to "Black Hole." Can you imagine if a white guy was on TV and said, "that's like saying NIGGER?" This guy thinks that because he's black, he's allowed to make racist comments on TV in his analogies. Yet if a white person said "nigger" in the same sense that he said "Jewing" (Or whatever the fuck he said), they'd be attacked by practically every black person in the country. I'm sick and tired of this shit. He wants all white people to never say the word "black," yet he is allowed to say anything he wants. Fucking dumb ass piece of shit.

I love how the only person to use a term offensively in the whole piece is when John Wiley Price says 'oh, am I jewing you?'.

And I can't find anywhere that Mayfield ever apologized to these two highly qualified public servants in Dallas.

i had a brilliant english teacher who was convinced that observing dental health month during february was the white man's way of offsetting black history month because teeth are generally white

sometimes people have crazy shit in their otherwise normally formed heads, but whats truly upsetting here is that there was actually debate among the man's peers about this

if i were black and i overheard a white guy saying nigger and then the guy saw me and looked ashamed, i would get all upset and say something like "Oh, what? You think just because I'm black I'll be mad you said nigger?"

I don't think you can legitimately dispute the fact that black has generally negative connotations in our language and culture while white has the opposite. He's right about that much.

i tried to argue that with my crazy english teacher by illustrating WHY that is and asking him the question "what was the first thing you were consciously afraid of?" thinking he'd say "The dark... OMG YOU HAVE CONVINCED ME". but thats back when I didn't believe people were shitty liars and of course he said "Being hungry. Not having food." and i was subsequently owned.

^^ Yeah, I believe they've found similar associations across cultures. That doesn't, unfortunately, prevent them from being harmful in this context. The apparently natural symbolism of the color black mixed with racism towards folks with varying shades of brown skin. Go figure.
