it's kindof a backhanded compliment, b/c in that presser he basically said he barely knows anything about our team.

personally, there's nothing that's going to tear me away from being in front of my HD tv for this one....unless it was actually being at the game(not nose bleeding level).

yeah i'm gonna be locked into this shit on HDTV at the crib...I prefer actually watching games I care about, and not just going to the bar and half ass watching and not being able to necessarily hear...thats cool for OOC bball games, or for games not involving my teams, but I'll be locked into HD

^^yeah i just think if you really want to pay attention to a game, i prefer doing it at the house where i have control over outside distractions...cheaper beer is nice and being able to channel surf and other stuff is cool, but mostly just being able to pay 100% attention to the game

Man I live only about an hour from Columbia, but I won't be able to go to the game. I'll be watching it on TV though.

Still think this will be a very low scoring game with NC State struggling badly on offense and SC mustering up just enough to put a couple of good drives together.

A new season, a new chance to start the season off with a positive and not a negative like usual.

^^ down to 45.5 now

I got it under 47

only way it goes anywhere near over is if State's offense is SO bad that South Carolina's defense get turnovers for TDs or really really good field position

by the way how many of yall are staying? We got a hotel room for the night. We are planning on going out to 5 points for college night or vista with the older crowd. Either way should be fun. We are leaving Raleigh at 930AM on Thursday and should be checked in and out at the lot at 230-3. Let me know who of all of yall wants to meet at the Farmers Market Lot(where the consensus of ncsu people will be)

What's the walk like from the Farmer's Market lot? My father has bad knees. We'll leave with plenty of time to get to the stadium, but I just don't want to have him walking a real long ways to get to the stadium. As long as it's no farther than the walk from the Vet School lot then that would be a possible place I'll be setting up camp. Hopefully the weather cooperates Thursday. I've got a pop up cover that I got for free from Harris Teeter. I'll get a NCSU one in a few years when I'm more established, but for now that one will do the job. I'm gonna be cooking some barbecued chicken and hopefully our boys will be barbecuing the Chickens come Thursday night.

What all will you guys be cooking at your tailgate?

I know your butt pirate fan but no way South Carolina puts up 54 points. There offense wasn't that good against Playoff Division teams. Plus they make lots of mistakes.

South Carolina very well could win but this will be a tight game.

I think a 13-10 score is very possible.

"This is not good news for the Pack. Not against South Carolina.

NC State coach Tom O'Brien said Tuesday that running back Jamelle Eugene, the team's top returning rusher, will miss the season opener with an ankle injury. He'll be replaced by senior Andre Brown.

Also out is junior Toney Baker, NC State's leading rusher in 2006. Baker is still recovering from preseason knee surgery.

The other interesting tidbit to come out of Raleigh on Tuesday was that O'Brien is considering using quarterback Russell Wilson as a punt returner."

IF... and I stress IF (since this is the first game of the season we dont really know for sure) South Carolina's defense is as good as advertised then I'm afraid State wont have a chance. A lot of people have them the best defense in the SEC.

So now we are missing:

Both starting safeties (for the season)
Best WR (for the season)
Starting RB/Offensive MVP (nagging ankle injury for who knows how long)
3rd RB (indefinitely)
First OL off the bench (suspended)

Should we worry about our S & C program?

Now we are relying on:
A freshman starting QB in Columbia at night against a top SEC defense for the season opener.
An inexperienced secondary behind our inexperienced linebacking corps.
Talent but question marks at wide receiver.
An injury-prone back who now has to be a workhorse back.
A makeshift offensive line without a talented senior.

Looks like we have our hands full.

^this almost has that we have everything going against us type feel where we pull some major shit out of our asses to win.

At this rate we'll be lucky to make it down there safely and not crash the bus along the way

Starting to get this funny feeling but I digress
