I don't have a problem with people being taken care of. I just believe it should be left up to private organizations which are more capable of distributing resources and I don't think a single american should be forced to donate. We are the most charitable people in the world; those who can, will. I know there have been times when I've had to stretch 10 dollars over a week for food and it fucking sucks. I would have been a lot better off if I had the money they took out of my paycheck to give to somebody else who isn't even working.

It's a myth too that most of your tax dollars, or even a large portion, go to people who are too lazy to work and are sponging on the system. These people represent a minority of tax $$$ users.

Taxes go to LOTS of thing, all of which is going to have someone that disagrees with it. That's the price to pay with living in a country as large and diverse as ours. But it's also what keeps our country being better than other countries... we have the power and resources to help ourselves out. The difference in Obama and McCain is not how much money they take from you, they both are going to be taking a lot from you (Obama actually taking less from more people), the difference is in how they spend it.

McCain is going to spend it to continue Bush's war that was started on lies, Obama wants to redirect that to helping American domestic interests out.
