yall need to learn to set the dvr to record the news also b/c AI will probably always run over.

i have started looking for the observer guy in each episode. i saw him on the news report thing walking by behind the reporter

I just set the DVR to continue recording 15 minutes after the episode because you know AI is going to go over again next week.

Kinda pissed they only showed the monster once - and it was pretty hokey how they magically made it back to the lab so save walter and give curtis that things blood so quickly.

Definitely feeling more like Xfiles every show in how far off the main plot they get with the crazy stuff...

Did anybody watch this episode? Revealed that obviously "Olive" has powers. Also "William" sounded really familiar to me on the tape. Probably because it was Leonard Nimoy.

yeah i saw it. i thought i remembered walter mentioning the name william before...i dunno. i was really hoping they werent stealing ideas from Medium, but it didnt go that way exactly.

that picture of little olive in the corner was soooo pitiful

What bothers me is that they made the revelation last season (season finale) that Olivia had been tested on, was being "recruited", and Walter had written that book they read from. Why all of a sudden was it new information again?

i see the Observer more in random other fox shows than i can seem to spot him in this show

where was he in this episode? i didn't see him in the surveillance tape of the subway, but maybe he was in the restaurant?

nvm i just looked at saw him, he had a hat on crossing the street just after they first look up and you see all the people on the ledge

aaand i found a website that has a screenshot of all his appearances

They had a midseason "finale", because Fox hadn't ordered a full run at the time.

the only thing I have against this show is that Denethor, steward of Gondor, seems to know everything about everything, no matter what it is.

^^^^
Just add an extra 5-15 minutes to end of your DVR recording. I can't imagine FOX moving Fringe from that Tuesday 9pm slot after American Idol so just remember to do it next season too.

^
Next week is the finally, David Robert Jones is back, and we finally meet William Bell

The previews made it look like William Bell is in like another dimension or parallel universe, haha, but I guess that wouldn't be too crazy for this show.

I also think the Spock guy(Ron's bro) had half of the story right, I could see the experimental children being future "warriors" in some war.

We did see buildings on fire from some kind of battle in one of her branches so that "warrior" story is probably not too far off.

Was Olivia seeing one of those branches right before Clint Howard's character is telling her and Peter about the Star Trek connections or was Peter hearing that too?

yeah it seemed like he was right on the money up until he started talking about Star Trek.

that was the point of the conversation with him. he had some partial info but they had to make him less believable by including the star trek stuff so that they would have a harder time figuring the whole thing out.

i hate when they put guest appearances in the opening credits, because it's not really a surprise when they show

i kinda like the alternate world thing, i guess Olivia also went through a teleport flash when she was in the elevator because otherwise I would think she would have ended up in the same building that was present in her original world, not the freakin WTC

i haven't watched this show this spring... is it any better than it was?

Oh, and ron howard's brother had roles in several star trek episodes... one from the original (The Corbanite Maneuver)... he played the child-like alien running the alien ship.

he also played a mentally ill bum in the episode of DS9 when they go back in time during the Bell Riots.

One thing that threw me off - so Peter is really the Peter from the alternate dimension?

^Yep, the original Peter died when he was a kid, and Walter created a portal to an alternate dimension to get his son back. I'm wondering if that event is what really kick started the war between dimensions that ZFT is talking about. Maybe alternate realty Walter went completely nuts after his son got kidnapped and wants revenge or something.

bah, stupid oh shit error.

what i tried to post was:

yeah that's what they were getting at w/ the whole alternate universe w/ slightly different versions of the same people and the grave marker. i thought it was fairly obvious...

^^Yeah I could see the alternate Walter being the one that wrote the manuscript. The typewriters they both have might be identical(like the coin Peter had) so it would explain why he THINKS he wrote it. The other Walter might have flipped out about losing Peter and came up with the manuscript.

excellent point, I could definitely see that being the case...the finale was very solid, and now I can't wait for the next season. The whole alternate reality in which the Towers didn't collapse and where Obama is moving into "the new White House" is extremely intriguing (did the 9/11 attack get the White House instead of the Towers?).

I thought the shot of the newspaper was just to show that we are in the year 2009 and hadn't gone back in time. Maybe I just overlooked "the new White House" part.
