Was the first SNL I have watched in a long time, and it sucked hard. Only reason I watched it was because of Hugh Laurie. The writing/skits just suck.

the digital short had potential, but the buildup had nothing to do with the payoff (which was a weak, cheap joke).

the "best" skit last night was probably the mexican police one. but other than that, I had nary a laugh.

Last night was the first time I've watched in a few months. Sure it's cliché at this point, but man that was awful. Only made it through the first 30 minutes.

Was this the first appearance of what I assume to be a new reoccurring character by Kristen Wiig? The "sorry" chick. I know she's a hit with the younger generation but I can't stand any of her reoccurring characters. Not one.

You guys know Steve Martin is like a world class banjo player, right? It's been part of his act for decades, and he's really freakin' good.

He released a banjo album, and that was a song from the album. SNL is a variety show, and the host played some music, as is allowed (but rarely done anymore) in a variety show. End of story.
