totally brilliant! only a complete 80's geek would base a show on Harry and the Hendersons.
I was thinking about that movie last week when I was trying to list all the movies I watched over and over growing up 3/5/2009 10:11:46 PM |

What happened to the new boyfriend from valentine's day? Did they cut him or did they just leave him out of this episode? Jack's girl was missing too. 3/15/2009 7:34:30 PM |
agentlion All American 13936 Posts user info edit post |
Liz's boyfriend is back for one more episode - Jon Hamm had a 4 episode commitment, and he's been in 3 episodes. So in the next one, they will probably write him out somehow.
Jack's girlfriend went back to Puerto Rico for good. She's gone.
It looks like this episode was played out of order. it sounds like it should have aired in February around St. Patrick's day, but they shifted them around. Maybe they split up the Jon Hamm episodes to try to get people to keep tuning in to see him on it again. whoops..... St Patricks day is next week. i guess it is in the right order.

great episode. At least, all the parts around Liz, the boyfriend and Jack.
It's too bad that Jenna, and somewhat Tracy, are the weakest part of the show. They need to do more with Frank and Josh and the rest of the writers 3/19/2009 10:41:25 PM |

just finished the requisite 2nd viewing, and decided that was easily one of the best episodes ever. Somehow they packed at least 4 different plotlines in there, without feeling rushed. Each plot was solid, and every joke was dead on. I don't think any of the jokes fell flat. 3/27/2009 11:22:33 AM |

yeah, that was great. Then at the end when the writer's room was watching Liz's old commercial, and they were laughing on screen for at least a minute straight, and I was laughing along with them the whole time. It's very, very difficult to keep a gag like that going for a full minute without any of it getting old
so, so many good lines.... "i've hunted the world's most dangerous game: man.... **ahem** manatee. I once, uh, shot a manatee"
and the deaf lady - "You're saying 'Apollo, Apollo, Apollo' - oh my god you puked! why wouldn't you warn me, i was staring at your mouth!"

In the last episode, Liz responded "Charles what now?" in disbelief to the judge. I am completely stumped as to what the reference or precedent is for this joke. Anyone know? 4/3/2009 9:49:18 AM |

don't know - for some reason, the first thing that popped into my head was Charles in Charge, the early 80's sitcom. I have no idea what that means, but that is the era that Tina Fey draws a lot of jokes from. 4/3/2009 10:14:21 AM |
