Gerald Wallace is all star calibur underrated player. He's better version of Tayshawn Prince. or better version of AK47
McCants just reminds me of STD chants. Jordan Collins sucked pretty much all career. 12/9/2008 11:25:18 AM |

that would be about the only reason to make that trade
the problem is, Diaw and Bell make more money than J Rich and Dudley
so not only are we downgrading our talent, we're losing money

Let's trade our most popular player in J-Rich and get back Raja Bell and Boris Diaw. Everyone will want to come see them play!

but they THOUGHT the fans would like the Felton and May picks because they THOUGHT they had a lot more UNC fans than they do
that was dumb as shit, but I can at least see where they were coming from
how does this make sense though?
so.....
PG: Felton/Augustin SG: Bell SF: Wallace PF: Diaw C: Okafor ?

Once I got over the intial reaction, I actually thinks it gives us a more rounded lineup. Granted I don't like losing J-rich or Dudley, but we are better defensively now and have a competent PF to put alongside Okafor (who has been avg like 18ppg 12rpg over the last 4-5 games).
I think this also may allow Ammo to get some more mins, and he has been shooting the ball fairly decent when he gets minutes.
At least its better than trading Wallace for Mccants and Collins.

Larry Brown said on the pre-game that this is not the end of the Bobcats trades. I'm guessing either Wallace or Felton is shown the door next. Would love to see Carroll get shipped off though with his contract and with the fact that him and Ammo are basically the same player. 12/10/2008 7:46:03 PM |

I actually like the trade a lot. As good as Richardson could be, he never really seemed to be that "franchise difference maker" the bobcats were hoping for. In fact, I think he was vastly overrated. He didn't seem to care much for defense and had a knack for taking horrible shots at horrible times (he'd make some though).
Dudley was Dudley -- consistent, overachieving, hard-worker. I'll miss him more than Richardson.
I haven't seen Diaw play that much, but I know he's athletic as hell. He won the NBA's most improved player a few years back. If he's developed an outside shot since his first year with the Suns, he could deadly.
And everyone knows Raja Bell is a badass defender. Don't know if he can do anything else, but defensive stoppers are always welcomed.
I always liked Singletary at UVA too. This might be the end of the Ray Felton era in Charlotte.

Larry Brown has been saying that he needs at least 3 PG on the roster for his system. I may be wrong, but I see the next move, if any, will be trading away either Ammo or Carroll to a team in dire need of a shooter. 12/10/2008 9:38:37 PM |

Bell can shoot, we're talking 46.8% from three this year with above 40% for his career. I like the trade the more I think about it. Bell and Diaw aren't as talented individually, but together they're worth Richardson.] 12/11/2008 3:22:14 AM |

he led the NBA in 3 pointers made last year, and both last year and this year, he was our leading scorer
just cause he's one of the few people to win multiple slam dunk contests doesnt mean thats all he can do
i will admit though i'm not freaking out as much now as i was when i first heard about it
