an OK episode, but I still always enjoy it when Family Guy takes on religion. Brian Griffin is one of the three, that I know of, "open atheists" on primetime network TV (the others being House and Brennen from Bones).
I found it odd, though, that they never said the word Jesus, except for the one wine-drinking joke. It's like, they wanted to be as offensive as possible towards Christians, except they didn't want to go "too far" and bring Jesus-bashing into it.

no doubt, I'm just saying the gag hit me like a bad note. I was lolin up until then. I'm not gonna say that Seth and writers dont 'know' dark humor, because they do. Along with all the other ranges of humor. My favorite scene in all family guydom was when peter confronts christina aguillera. However the cat scene was straight up fail in my neck of the woods ,and I just got done watching Deap Space Darkfall and loooved it (if that tells you anything).

Anyways, just felt like sharing that. Family guy has very few hiccups but that was definitely a big one in my book. To each his own.
