ATL's defense is straight shitty. GB's is good against the pass, but gives up 5 yards a carry. That's not inflated numbers, thats just shitty defense. TB and NYG have good defenses and Carolina could lose one of both of those games.

I actually think they'll lose 5 of the next 6, if Daunte didn't suck so bad, they'd be 7-3, and the laughing stock of the NFL for giving Detroit their only victory, in Carolina no less.

I'll explain why they will lose @ ATL. ATL is very strong at home (1st loss of the season to Denver), Matt Ryan will pass all over that shitty secondary of the Panther (Gamble is the worst starting cb in the league, I have heard Panthers fans say this even). Falcons def is palying better than they have in years right now and now a division rival comes into town. Hasn't ATL shocked you all before (Vick??? few years back??) I dont think Turner will run all over you but I also dont see DeAngelo or Stewart running well either. It will come down to Matty Ice vs Joke Delhomme. My money, my house, my car, and my everything is on the rookie.

Good point there, give Dante another week in that system and Carolina is 7-3 and would already be thought of as a joke. Tampa Bay this weekend will blow out Detroit and show the league how shitty the Panthers really are.

^ oh yeah because blowing out people means so much more than beating a team by 9. Do you realize the average of victory in the NFL? We played like shit and still beat teams by 11 and 9. The NFL doesn't have many blowouts in one season. This isn't the BCS. We don't have to impress anyone, we just have to make it to the playoffs. I can't wait to come back to this thread later on. Ya, that one. Panthers are a team that finds ways to lose big games, such as the NE one. But anyways, this team is no where near as good as that one was. Delhomme was much better and Moose was a lot younger and the O-line was way better. Plus Steven Davis was a beast, now all you have is a glorified JJ Arrington and a bobo Cadillac Williams (stewart). Decent season Panthers fans, see you next season.

The remaining schedule is pretty light: @ NO, vs. CAR, vs. HOU, @ JAX, @ CHI, vs. DET. They also have the second best offense in the NFC and an above average defense. I'd say 4-2, though.

Lets see what happened the last time the Panthers played the Falcons.

Matty Ice as you call him was 21 for 41 for 158 yards and no TD's he didn't turn the ball over. It was his 2nd worst game of the season next to the game against the Bucs. The Falcons rushed for 118 yards and no TDs and 11 of those coming on 11 yards by Ryan when flushed out of the pocket. And the Panthers Jake was 20 of 29 for 294 yards and 2 TDs the running attack put up 107 yards not impressive but a decent rushing day.

The Panthers D has the 5th ranked D against the Pass, the 3rd ranked scoring defense. So i don't think you can say the Panthers D is soft.

I say worst case scenario is the Panthers go 3-3 in the next 6 games. The Falcons will be the first victory. They lose to the Packers, beat the Bucs Monday night at home, beat the Broncos, lose to the Giants, and beat the Saints. Now the Bucs game could go either way that will be the difference between 4-2 and 3-3. Everybody is putting too much stock in the last 2 games. Both teams were coming off embarassing losses and were trying to prove something. All that matters in the NFL is wins, you can win with style or win ugly but all that matters is that you win. The Vikings loss was embarassing and the Bucs destroyed us at their field when the Panthers were believing their own press clippings.
