"and ohio state consistently underperforms and is overrated as fuck"

Here's their losses over the last 4 yrs:
2005: Texas (by 3) and PSU (by 7) UT won the national championship, and Penn St won the orange bowl
2006: Florida (blowout) but it was for the national championship
2007: Illinois (by 7) and LSU (by 14) Again, a BCS team and the National Champs
2008: USC (blowout) and Penn St (by 7) AGAIN, 2 damn good teams

So how is this consistent underperformance? They've only lost to teams that played in BCS games, including 3 national champions!

Care to look at who USC has lost to in the last 4 years? Oregon State TWICE, UCLA, Stanford, Oregon... real powerhouses, none of whom went to a BCS game that year. The lone exception was when they lost to Texas in the best game ever.

^^^ this isnt Tecmo Bowls. Teams play bad games, it happens. Thats being objective. Want another example? Florida and LSU beat the shit out of Ohio State two years in a row. But I dont think they are THAT much better than them, Ohio State played shitty in both games. If they played 100 times I do think LSU and Florida would definitely beat Ohio State most of the time, and probably by around 9-15 points, but it wouldnt be as lopsided as those two games. LSU could have easily won by more than 14 last year

I agree with you on those points. in 2006, I think OSU would have beaten Florida a majority of the time if they could play 100 times, and the opposite is true for LSU in '07. My point with the USC reference was they don't get the knock for not showing up like OSU does but they almost always lose a game to a VASTLY inferior team every year, something that OSU almost never does.

I never said that... I said Florida would beat them more if they played 100 times, but not just by as much as they did, more like 9-15 points

oooh a fuckeye fan responded mission accomplished. being in a shitty conference and losing to the only real teams you play proves the point.

Tebow rips off sling, assures fans he’s OK

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP)—Florida quarterback Tim Tebow walked onto the basketball court Saturday with his right arm in a sling.

When he walked off, the sling was dangling from his left hand.

Tebow, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner, ripped off his sling at the end of a brief speech at halftime of the Arkansas-Florida basketball game in an effort to assure Gators fans he would be fine following surgery on his non-throwing shoulder.

“Don’t worry about this. I’ll be fine,” Tebow said as he pulled off the sling.

Tebow had surgery Monday, one day after he announced he was staying at Florida for his senior season, and was expected to be ready for spring practice in April. He had a bone spur removed in hopes of reducing chronic inflammation.

Tebow’s appearance Saturday came as the Gators were honored again for winning their second national championship in three years.

Several players, defensive coordinator Charlie Strong and coach Urban Meyer received standing ovations as they walked to midcourt.

Strong took a mild shot at anyone who thought Oklahoma was going to continue its streak of scoring at least 60 points against his defense.

“Anyone who thought Oklahoma was going to score 60 on us, it’s a shame,” Strong said, adding that he has everyone on his two-deep depth chart returning. “If someone scores a touchdown, don’t get too excited. We’re going to find a way to win.”

Then he added, “When you have Tim Tebow, you always have a chance.”

Cornerback Joe Haden thanked Tebow and linebacker Brandon Spikes for staying in school, then said, “We’re going to win it again next year.”

The loudest ovation—not surprisingly—was for Tebow.

He earned the offensive MVP award in the Bowl Championship Series title game. Tebow was 18-of-30 passing for 231 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the 24-14 victory. He also ran for 109 yards, most of it in the second half.

“I think we proved who should have won the Heisman this year,” receiver David Nelson said."
