^ Yes, but I probably wouldn't have used a FOX News link--I wouldn't want to upset the howlers here. And I would've posted it this way:
Pawlenty: Felons 'may have flipped the election' July 14, 2010
Quote : | "'They seem to have found credible evidence that many felons who are not supposed to be voting actually voted in the Franken-Coleman election,' Pawlenty said.
He continued: 'I suspect they favored Al Franken. I don't know that, but if that turned out to be true, they may have flipped the election.'" |

I realize that Franken being elected is a done deal. But you know as well as I do that if it gone a Republican's way under similar circumstances, some of you would be screaming bloody murder. Furthermore, for me, it's not that Franken is a Democrat--it's that he's a vicious partisan.7/15/2010 5:35:07 PM |

First off it is just because he's a democrat, you'd be doing the same for any democrat. Secondly, for this to have had any effect, pretty much every felon would have had to have voted for him. 7/15/2010 7:50:27 PM |

A person arrested for possessing a large amount of marijuana shouldn't have their fundamental rights stripped away from them. 7/16/2010 8:31:07 AM |

^ Under current law, I guess it depends on how large the amount. But I'm certainly for decriminalizing marijuana--and most definitely for individuals possessing personal-use amounts.
BTW, didn't Obama campaign a bit on this issue? I think it may qualify as another flip-flop:

Franken apologizes for irritating GOP leader August 5, 2010
Quote : | "WASHINGTON — Sen. Al Franken apologized Thursday for being rude to Sen. Mitch McConnell as the Senate's top Republican was winding up a solemn debate on the nomination of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court.
Franken, a liberal Democrat from Minnesota, was presiding over the Senate as McConnell explained his opposition to President Barack Obama's high-court nominee.
A Senate GOP aide said Franken made theatrical gestures and whispered under his breath as the Kentucky senator spoke. It was distracting enough that McConnell went up to the former comedian afterward and said, 'This isn't "Saturday Night Live," Al.'
The aide spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.
Franken later went to McConnell's office to try to apologize in person but McConnell wasn't there. He delivered a handwritten apology and issued a statement that said McConnell was 'entitled to give his speech with the presiding officer just listening respectfully.'" |
