I said that a while back and got KILLED for suggesting Costner play the 3... He has the offensive skills to play that position. Sure, he won't be a plus defensive player at this position (or any position IMO) but I LOVE that lineup given our current personnel..

You have to be able to get SOME offense out of the position.

I can live with great defenders (and little scoring offense) at the point and on the blocks, but that is a scoring position these days. What elite teams don't have a scoring 3? I can't think of any?

And I agree with the people who did say it partly. It isn't optimal. But we don't have the personnel right now to have an optimal lineup. I think that is the best offensive lineup we can throw out there.

Really, my biggest gripe is that Tracy Smith NEEDS more minutes. It's unacceptable that he only has averaged 12.5 minutes a game this year. The motherfucker averages almost 9 points a game in only 12.5 minutes. I get that he isn't a polished defensive rebounder and is often out of position, but it's not like Costner is a premier rebounder/defender at the 4 either...

I really think we would be a better team with a limited 8 man rotation, too...
