Yup.
You don't realize that until you spend some time in the area really observing the people.

LA really is filled with lots of people who aren't good looking, they just don't hang out in the nicer places you'd normally go to if you were visiting.

In Warren and Northampton counties you generally have two large groups of people:
1) old with at least decent amounts of wealth
2) young with little wealth

You can't really compare yourself to the old people (I'm 27 years old) and most poor people take shitty care of themselves...

The would-be young with decent+ wealth (healthy good looking people) have moved to the Raleigh area, thus driving me down to a 4 in Raleigh.
The would-be old with little wealth have died before they could get old. However, they don't die before spawning an army of shitty children who aren't mobile due to finances and lack of education, thus pushing me up into the 7-9 range.

I'm a 7 in Rocky Mount because of a similar situation as Warren and Northampton counties.
Seriously, there are a handful of good looking people in Rocky Mount that are around my age. I'm engaged to one and the rest are my coworkers and their spouses. Rocky Mount offers little for well educated 20-30 year olds. If you live here it's because you like whatever job you found or you want to be near family.
