In case anyone still wants to see this and does not want to wait for the dvd it is on instant watch via netflix. The wife and I watched it tonight. I enjoyed it and she isnt a bit scifi fan so it was meh to her. Carry on.

question about the call with his daughter...



i put her at around 15 or 16 when he saw / called her. if that was a live feed (which i took it to be) then that means the first sam we see in the movie is only the 4th or 5th clone?

am i missing something here...was that not live when he talked to his daughter?

the movie sort of made it seem like this cloning process had been going on for ages, not only 3 or 4 times before...

^ Your guess was right. It was a live feed, there have only been around 5 active clones. The rest were just waiting to be woken up one at a time every 3 years (or less, depending on accidents).

If you re-watch the scene where he finds the hidden room you can tell by the lights on the sleeper units. 5-ish of them are a different color (or aren't lit, I can't remember).

Great movie.

From what I remember from the numerous times I've watched this, when Sam is looking at the logs on the monitor, you can pause the screen where it lists them and there will be a "Year X" descriptor by all of the videos. The most recent of the videos says "Year 15", which means that the dying Sam you see in this movie is the 5th. This would make sense, because he only has 2 weeks left on his shift and he is the fifth Sam to complete a three year shift.
