In all seriousness, SO TUFF internet stuff aside, I've got no problem with people up there getting excited about the Caps now, even if there were only a half dozen fans a few years ago.

Most people start out as bandwagon fans. It's just a question of where will they be the next time the Caps go through a rough patch.

I am glad to see new fans excited in the sport.

I still like Ovechkin but I still hate the Caps and their fans

^ agree completely. hate the caps but it's not bad to see a team with a crazy new fanbase. every time i watch a game from the verizon center i think "man that's what games sounded like at the RBC in 2002. . . fans don't seem to quite understand everything but they are going nuts."

i'm a pens fan but i went to games in the old CAP CENTRE in landover

that was a terrible arena with a fairly not bad team (they had stars like bondra, iafrate, hunter), but no one really cared about the caps

and it was better than going to bullets games there. . . they had bernard king and no one else
