oh ok! thanks for the input. i just never really even thought about it until today and then i searched, found this thread and read what others posted. because starting in S4 of buffy i DID notice the angel references and cordelia references and i was like, wait a second....

but good to know that it doesn't *REALLY* make a difference if you watch them together or not!

When I was watching through I used the season pages on wikipedia to see which episodes had crossovers, and would insert episodes where they needed to go. There are minimal spoilers in between, so be careful if that's a big deal to you.

i don't know if i like zoned out or missed an episode?!? i don't think i did

but when do they explain where/why/etc dawn came from???!! i mean i know she is the sister but...she wasn't ever mentioned in the earlier seasons. i mean i'm guessing when the show was on they needed a new character or something so they brought her on but she just pops in

they never say like "oh your sister is here for the summer" or anything. and they talk about their relationship "always" being like this. WTF SISTER YOU WERE NEVER THERE BEFORE.

If youre a fan of the show, then yes. They are a little all over the place and definitely over the top...I guess having an "unlimited budget" so to speak made the go wild. From what Ive read, the mistakes of Season 8 have been recognized, and the upcoming Season 9 comic will get back to the roots of the show.

As for the viewing order, most of the crossovers arent too major, and most of any significance are in Buffy S4/Angel S1. That being said, if youve never watched the show and dont know ANYTHING about whats going to happen, then there is at least one major spoiler youd want to avoid by watching in the correct order.
