Cartoon Network episodes are played more consistently (Sunday-Friday) at 2 a pop, and they around surrounded by other cartoons with similar humor. Catching King of the Hill at a randomly shuffled night on Fox in a time-slot surrounded by random shows (typically not cartoons yet alone comedies) did not help it. Call it atmosphere. These were the days before Animation Domination.

Cartoon Network also plays fake ads for in-show companies, such as Fatherton Fuels. Now that I think of it, maybe they showed those on Fox as well? I don't remember them (and they seem like the first thing that would be chopped off in efforts to save time).

...and this reminds me that I need to catch up on this last season of Futurama. Hopefully its On-Demand.
