I thought it was an awful finale. I was incredibly let down and had it not been for the neighbor's scene it would have probably been the worst episode of the season.

For all the promise the episode 2 weeks ago lead on they sure as hell didn't bring that excitement into the finale. Yeah he's losing his job, yeah he's gonna take control of this business and do things his way, big whoop. The finale made me care less about him than ever before.

i was too pissed about the final 3 minutes of TB to really watch Hung or Entourage...I re-watched Entourage last night, and I'll prolly re-watch Hung tonight. I caught the last scene with he and his wife though

how did it make you care less about him? like you said, he's losing his job. the male hooker side job is shaping up to be his main source of income. it HAS to take off or ray is fucked. the entire dynamic of what he and tanya started is about to change with crazy ass lenore becoming involved. and lenore was one of the few things about the show that made it seem like a comedy like HBO was trying to make it out to be. the stage has been set for season 2, which i like a hell of a lot better than some stupid ass cliffhanger.

yeah, it HAS to take off. But it hasn't yet, there is no evidence that it even will. I mean he's already turned down his first client in the new regime, yes it was his wife but still. The finale gave no hope to the audience that things may turn up for Ray. And with the one tiny inclination they showed that Tonya may make a stand next season it only makes things seem worse for Ray since that may mean there will be a power struggle between her and Lenore.

Yeah, he's gonna do this! He's gonna take control or he's screwed! but ya know what? He should have done that week's ago. I'm just saying, it was more of the same. More of really not anything.

but you know things most likely will get better for ray. i just can't see the second season being one misfortune after the other. and i was pleased with the way the situation turned out with his ex-wife. anyone who follows the show saw that situation coming from a mile away, so at least it unfolded differently than people expected.

I really thought it was going to turn out the scene from the very beginning with him getting the note from under the door was gonna be now with his wife. I still want to know what the deal was with the note.
