that reminds me, i think we should go with 6 minute quarters instead of 5, games still take roughly 50-60 minutes but the games don't feel as condensed, and it allows you to actually setup a run game. also note that they are adding the "milk the clock" feature this year so games will be even shorter than last year

I'm not sure if I'm really fond of the new chew clock option. It looks like it doesn't give you anytime if you want to move one of your offensive players. Which it looks like you can turn it on/off from the play call screen so I guess if you have a play where you want to motion someone and have them get set or not run all the time off at the end of a quarter before you can run a play.

Does everyone approve of the team draft idea and when does everybody plan on getting the game? If all of us will be getting the game on release day or soon after, I think an online, single elimination tournament to see who gets #1 pick would be something cool and would kill time while we're waiting on rosters.

I guess I can see either side (of choosing a team vs. randomly placed to a team). But if someone wants a particular team, why not let them have it? And everyone else who wants to be random can do that?

There isn't a particular team that I really want (hell, I was Wake Forest last year), but there are some teams that I really don't want to be. I don't even want a top 25 team, I like to build a team somewhat, which is one reason I didn't want LSU...

I like the 3-stars or less idea... we could randomly assign each person three 3-star teams nationally and let them pick who they want... i dont think us being in the same conference is that big of a deal, plus it would make the league go a LOT faster since people wouldnt have to coordinate as much... and it would make it more "special" when people got to play each other

ok, just trying to finalize the rules. It's pretty much a slimmed down version of last season's rules. Let me know if anything should be added or changed.

Heads-the team leading gets the win, Tails- a new game will be played *don't attempt to disconnect by pulling the plug because you're losing. Please report any suspected user disconnects of this type 7. Misc: a) 1-AA(FCS) teams will be replaced with a 3* or above team of your choice. b) Any offensive/defensive playbook may be used c) 3 Strikes and you're out policy- 3 complaints will result in removal from the league. I HATE it when I am playing someone and they have freaking Georgia and run the option with Stafford to get the first down because they know the defensive AI sucks against the option

Surprise onside kicks to catch your opponent off guard = ok, but going for an onside kick on every kickoff = bad especially with a 90%+ chance of recovering in this year's game once you find the sweet spot. Some people do this online and it just gets ridiculous.

I don't think onside kicks and going for it on 4th are deficiencies though within reason. If you have to all or nothing it to make sure there is no excess that would be understandable. (and i didnt know about the onside kick glitch)

There was something in one of the games a few years ago where you could pooch the ball on the kickoff and destroy the guy as soon as he caught the ball making him fumble. Stuff like that is annoying.

there's some teams (like state) that all I've seen them run the entire game was bootlegs because their blocking was so shitty. UGA ran the option with Stafford from time to time, but like you said it wasn't your typical triple option.

Unlessthey added it this year there are no "fake" insides kicks. Seeing as how you can't truly fake it like Les or saban would. There is no point to doing an onside unless you are losing.
