Chandler is off the books after 2011

Okafor is getting 12 per for the next 5

I like it

[Edited on July 27, 2009 at 6:19 PM. Reason : and I can't watit to see CP3's glare after Okafor fumbles yet another lob]

triple post

This is big fucking news

possibly the biggest trade in team history, beacause Okafor was the franchise player (which speaks more to how sad the franchise is than how good he is)

Richardson was only here for a year

So I don't know if the deal makes us better, but it clears lots of money

and its always about the dollars

its always about the fucking dollars

i like okafor, and chandler seems a bit injury prone as of late, but on paper i like the deal. at least its somethin. its been so quiet, i was starved for some offseason bobcats action

If Chandler can avoid injury I think he is a significantly better player. I have never cared for Oakfors game.

Hmmm interesting. Chandler has not shown me much, but Okafor has been shaky at best. But I will be highly disturbed if Okafor turns out double double with CP3 and Chandler continues his injury problems.

I like the deal. Tyson will be very valuable as a trading chip next year if management is willing to take on a star in return. Okafor was overpaid when we signed him and in the new era he's considerably overpaid

Now we just gotta keep hard lining with felton he won't fetch full mle easily given the deteriation of the leagues financing

Chandler won't cost but half of the 12 million since the owners are guaranteed to lock the players out next year.

Odom re-signs with the Lakeshow.

Fuck.

Their starting 5 could be:

Fisher
Bryant
Artest
Odom
Gasol

Fuck.

No one can beat them but themselves.

ooooh OOOOOOH

My important picks:

-Bobcats make playoffs as 7th seed, lose to Orlando
-Wizards lose to Cavs in first round
-Cavs beat Spurs in the Finals

Is one of the league's smallest markets big enough for O.J. Mayo, Rudy Gay, Zach Randolph and Allen Iverson?

The NBA is about to find out.

After a drawn-out recruitment by the Memphis Grizzlies, Iverson finally confirmed Wednesday morning that he is indeed Memphis-bound, announcing via his Twitter feed: "God Chose Memphis as the place that I will continue my career."

Grizz were going to leave Memphis more than likely if the current mayor stuck around. He was trying to jack up their rent on the FedEx Forum for no better reason than the fact that he's the mayor and he runs shit how he wants. Not to mention every popular player has been let go despite their connections to the community (esp Shane Battier). Now with Mayor Willie gone, and some star power, Memphis might have an NBA future.

I don't miss living their one bit. FedEx Forum is a nice place, though.

beale st is sooo overrated and commercial. Nothing but bikers and tourist trap businesses. Nashvegas however, is the most underrated city in the US.

[Edited on September 9, 2009 at 11:28 PM. Reason : if the grizz move i hope its there]
