the t-shirt made a good sweat rag. the extra 2 hours of drinking and not having to deal with lines was well worth the money. plus, we got to drink all the top shelf bourbon before they disappeared.

I'm getting the impression that arog was one of the people huddled up under the trees near the blue moon tent that never checked out everything they event had to offer.

Why would you drink Blue Moon at a beer festival?

Better yet, why would they SERVE Blue Moon at a beer festival?

some people just don't know any better.

on another note, they were serving a beer called Honey Moon. I think they just took their normal coors light and put it in a different bottle.

I spent a lot of time at the big middle tent and the side over by oak city smoke's bbq tent. that middle tent was the best because there was a lot going on and a bunch of breweries I hadn't tried.

I readily admit that I slammed a lot of sweetwater because it was easily accessible and centrally located, but I only tried the honeymoon because I'd never had it. I didn't even have any new belgiums because I'd had them all before, but fat tire is one of my favorites.

New Belgium rocks. All this talk of beer is making me crave a Dale's Pale Ale. And some BBQ. Damn you, Florida. Your BBQ sucks.

had a really fucking good time.

we had VIP tix, but i was still all worried they'd run out of good shit, and i drank way too much bourbon in the first hour, and got fucked in half drunk. I bogarted someone's lawn chair and passed out in it for an hour, and then woke up and rallied.

Then on the way home, we had the cab driver stop at total wine and we bought a 1/6th of fat tire, and continued drinking till about 1. My buddy chris kept trying to buy weed from the driver because he was from nigeria, and had bob marley playing in the car. I guess that's a fair assumption to make.

When I woke up a little while ago, my liver was sobbing like a rape victim.

I'm kind of surprised that I didn't wake up any more hung over than I did. I came back to the house and had the bright idea to start drinking more Basil Hayden. Then my wife started complaining about how loud I was snoring when I was trying to watch NFL preseason football, so I went upstairs to pass out.

I went to the Brewfest in Greensboro yesterday. I had about 6 beers before we even went, drank a shit ton of beer at the event, then went out to a bar afterward

I puked when I got home, and I woke up with a black eye and a throbbing headache.

I feel pretty good now, except for the black eye

My friend bought a 4 pack of VIP tickets and they were 30 dollars each. Single VIP tickets were 35 dollars each, and regular 4 hour tickets were 30 dollars each. Buying the 4 pack is the way to go, if you know that 3 friends will want to go.

So for people who enjoy good bourbons... what did you try there that was excellent? I'm a big scotch fan but am branching out into bourbon, so I'd be interested to hear what everyone liked. Right now I'm sipping on some Buffalo Trace and enjoying it.

^I don't remember what I tried because I drank so much alcohol, but Red Stag was a good bourbon brewed by Jim Beam. It is brewed with black cherries.

Did the cherries give it more sweetness or more sourness?

^It was sort of sweet. I liked it, but then again I also like cherry coke, and Sam Adams Cherry Wheat beer.
