What's funny about my Chanter is that I have more downtime now that I am higher level than when I did starting because I go oom like mad. Fortunately, at 25 I picked up the MP regen mantra which helps so so so much. 26 now! Rawr!

I tinkered with one in the low teens in Open Beta and it was hella fun. I'd say they suffer later on by having now legit way to heal that I am aware of. I may not hit things for 1k on my Chanter, but I can at least heal and scoot without having to sit every third fight.

So I just got this game online and am downloading now... got 45 minutes left... going to make a guy on the M server (cant remember name) because thats where some co-workers play.

What type of character should I make? In WoW, my main is a warrior so don't wanna go that route. I've read thru this and you all say Chanters are the shit, but are there a million of em running around? My friend made a Scout (Ranger) and is enjoying it. Whats a good class? I think I'd enjoy all of em except Cleric. Was debating the Scout(Ass), do they suck?

Also, is the templar like a pally? Can it heal? If so, I might try that.

Been hearing that SM are pretty strong in PVP early.

I've just gotten to 22, looking forward to trying to find a rift tonight.

Enjoying game so far, at 199 tailoring, 100 gathering, and working up aether. I've found that aether sells for a lot so it has made gathering it better. Found a good system that seems to be fast rotating around 3 nodes in an area.

Not super impressed with my assassin so far though. Don't bring a lot to the table at the moment but I never play that class so I wanted to. Having to level up alts though just for the bank and auction space. Wish they would give you a different bag for quest items.

^^ Maybe you can help me out with something. Is everything just as cut-throat on the Elyos side? As in would people rather run by and let you die if they see you being attacked by multiple things? Or worse, just standing there and watching you die only to start killing what your were fighting when you drop. Also, are you guys just more organized PvPwise or does it just seem like it when I am constantly being railroaded by 5-6 Pigeons while in the Abyss.

Im not on zikel, but on my server, ive never had a problem with people on Elyos being cutthroat. 9 times out of 10, if im in shouting distance of a cleric, they'll come and res me or toss me some healing and buffs to save my ass. People are pretty helpful.

I'd switch over to Zikel, but im too invested timewise where i am.

I'm lvl 17 Templar on Murchutan as Elyos (playing with co-workers).

Started leveling armor crafting too.... that shit is sooooooooooooo slow.

Well, turns out the name I gave my Aion toon (and have been giving my mmo toons for years) is now a character in a shitty anime. Wonderful

Right now it's right outside of Beluslan fortress. I stood there and watched like 6 non-legioned, non-titled gladiators run around tagging each others' mobs. There are also some near the camp in the Whispering Forest killing the ice tree things near there. I welcome any of you pigeons who come through and clean house in those areas! If I see one more Gsdfersfd has acquired <insert gold item here> I am going to vomit.

Well I'm tired of this game already. The mechanics are sound, but there's still some response issues. Sometimes I have to hit an ability multiple times for it to go off. Often there is a small lag period before the power activates, even with relatively low ping. The interface just lacks a certain tightness that is essential in serious pvp.

Also theres oft-repeated monster models, no variability within the (few) classes, slow leveling, bland abilities, slow over-land travel and lack of UI customization via addons. I'm putting this down early. Anyone want to buy a lvl 30 sorc?
